He won the championship in 04.. but does not have a Daytona 500 win yet. I still think he stays in NASCAR... a lot of teams (the ones he hasn't pissed off yet) will value that recent past champion's provisional but would love to see him give Indycar a try.

Because at least she has made the attempt to be a driver that goes up through the Indycar ranks, as lame as that is. I'd rather she get the chance to show what she can do in a good car for a full season than some immature nascar whiny reject.

It wouldn't make sense to do that, Kurt has far more money and tallent

Don't disagree about the money and talent, but would you want some hot head driving an Indycar.

This is pure fantasy on my part, It would be sweet if he decided to snub NASCAR and went to Indy 500 and beat Penske driving for Tony Stewart.

Totally forgot about that. Well, even better yet, he could drive the Daytona 500 in a one-off and still do Indy full time.

Having only tested an IndyCar years ago, I would still put all of my money on Busch dusting Pippa in an Indycar road race right now.

One possibility if there isn't a full time decent NASCAR team, Kurt could run for his brother in a limited schedule at Daytona and other bigger races, and run in Indycars on part schedule.

I have no doubt he has the talent to run in Indycar, it is whether he has the discipline to develop a car with the team, be patient to not expect instant results, but also not drive over his head with open wheels.

To me this, as always will depend on money. Money can create "openings" that didn't exist. Problem is, I'm not sure there is money on either side for him.

I'm just looking forward to a Kurt Busch / Charles Burns confrontation on pit lane.

Why? So the IRL gets another maybe mightbe added to the doze list.
Kurt will have eyes on him from the git go. He will be more fun to watch
right out of the box than many who should have built a following by now
    but never will.
It will certainly pique the interest of some of the NASCAR bunch and they
will not resist the urge to take a peep at him in the semi-OW cars.

They are leaving the IRL and going ALMS full time.

Kurt's big crime in that YouTube video is the one crime Penske will not allow....He made his sponsors look bad. They were the sponsors of a complete and utter DB driver. The guy has above average hands, but he did more damage in that video than his good driver skills could handle. In my opinion, guys like that need to get fired and stay that way. Let everyone else in the garage area learn from Kurt's moronic behavior. If you want to damage or end your career, just act like Kurt. Roger Penske could find a good replacement for Kurt before lunch.

Sorry misread this, I think the best option will see him in ICS is a 500 one off. He said his phone was ringing with offers but if its all crap offers who cares? He can sit out this season and let the dust settle a bit. He may have trouble getting a job this year but he's to highly thought of as a driver not have a good offer in "13"

KuBu in IndyCar. Man, you guys really crave carnage that bad? I guess as long as all the teams keep plenty of spare cars on hand to cover the ones he rams when they displease him. A skunk doesn't lose his stripe overnight.

I've been amazed that Penske put up with his BS this long. Got thinking ol' Rog was going soft in the head. Bet Tom Sneva and Paul Tracy wish they'd gotten that much slack.

If this longshot EVER proves true, which I doubt, he better learn that in IndyCar, you don't wreck people on purpose. EVER.

I would agree with you re Pippa vs Busch for the Rahal ride, except.. Odd as it sounds, if she can find the $ for the ride, I think she might do better with a full time seat at Conquest. She qualified at Indy without a whole lot of drama and ran a decent race - but had nothing but problems at Rahal. Could have been the chassis, could have been a lack of chemistry or just that they didn't set the car up to her liking - but I think she might do better at Conquest.

Kurt is not coming to Indycar.

If he did, expect a ton of garage passes sold to the NASCAR crowd who will finally have access to him to tell him what a d-bag he has been all those years.

Her talent might have played a bit of a role too.

Nice image, but it isn't beating a dead horse when people keep suggesting that they would prefer her in the seat. It is hard not to sound gratuitous by stating matter of factly that she isn't nearly as talented as most of the other drivers. In fact, she will get smoked on road courses by practically everyone.

Yeah ,but she is not Dancia the 2011 most searched athlete.LOL. We certinly dont need the exposure in the IICS.LOL.

hmmmmm... look at the pictures they posted, and their plans are going to be announced mid december
Those pics are from nearly ten years ago when Busch drove for Roush and Rahal raced in CART. Both teams were using Fords IIRC(?) at the time and I think Ford Motor Company set up the test
