I figured that was a burt bridge. Stewart-Haas wasn't one to consider due too many run-ins with Smoke.

    Part time in several series'

He has the past champions provisional in his back pocket so he can get some 2nd tier team in a few races.

Little brother will put him in a few races

He will play with his Pro Stock

He could even do some appearances and race someones back up at a few big short track shows
Faster than a bullet from a gun
    He is faster than everyone
Quicker than the blinking of an eye
Like a flash you could miss him going by
No one knows quite how he does it but it's true they say
He's the master of going faster. -George Harrison

His divorce may have something to do with what he does as well. I'm not sure it's final but I can't imagine it won't be costing him a bunch of money

My first inclination would be James Finch, maybe Front Row

Doesn't Front Row get a lot of stuff from Roush. I don't think that would happen.

Why isn't there an other. I could say whoever buys Red Bull, Roush, or RCR Equiptment may hire Kurt Busch.

No way in he!! Does he ever turn a wheel for any Tony Stewart Racing entity at any level.

At the present time it does not appear as his options are any higher on the hired gun food chain of Cup racing than maybe Finch.

Probably can't due delivery with the reckless driving conviction. Does Jimmy Johns serve sandwiches with a side of bile?

I think he ends up being a part time janitor at The Chicken Ranch.

He's gotta be sponsor poison, tho.

Perhaps, but NOS stuck with Kyle. Depends on the sponsor I guess. Might not be poison in NHRA. Drivers don't usually have enough time to verbally thrash out on the radio while driving and insult the owner. What if he was the owner?

A year of Pro Stock will cost $2M. I don't see where he'd get the money exc out of pocket.

The thinking behind Kurt at SHR would strictly be for Danica's benefit when it comes to owners points, nothing else.
Preached safety and warned of death at Daytona this year and then drove like the Grim Reaper for three hours - Robin Miller talking about Tony Stewart

Maybe he could pick up the former Redbull team for a song.

I was thinking that him and Kyle could do something like that and have a coowned team - Busch Motorsports. Make the chase every year and implode near the end.

No idea where he will wind up in 2012. Seems these guys need a wake up call and Kurt got his. That makes two top teams from which he has been fired and from here on in it is up to him.

One thing I've discovered is, once these top performers get dumped because of their own recklessness, most will adjust and become better performers, partners and people. Kurt did quite well for awhile after his last go-round but it wore off. That is a failure Kurt cannot permit to take place again.
If Tony Stewart, as rough around the edges his early years in NASCAR, could make the changes he did, then Kurt should be able to as well and this time it must stick.

The only thing that RBR has left of value now is two top-35 freebie provisionals.

I bet Kurt goes without full time rides. He poisoned his own wishing well. Kyle did too. Let's see how long it takes in 2012 for Gibbs to send Kyle kicking horseshoes down the road.

Going to Jimmy Finch....and Ragan will drive the 43 for Petty Motorsports. Solid all around, IMHO.

Jayski had a quick story about NHRA and Naitionwide/CWTS driving for Kyle. Is Finch considered a start up for their young age? If so, we were all right. Jimmy Johns aside that is.

  25. #25
you probably knew this, but james finch first fielded a busch car in 89 and a cup car in 90

but i would of course consider his team a start up as in this thread

    and he

    looks like dale coyne

Yeah, should have been more clear. Phoenix racing is fairly new. But Mr. Finch has been a steadfast contributor to racing.

Interesting - "Rising from the Ashes" the Phoenix with Kurt Busch's career again after burning the ears of the owner and team. I think this is last stop IF/WHEN he sets the fire again in a team.
