I played for a small high school in IN that in 1972 scored only one touchdown all season (in the final game). We typically lost 50-0 and one game was 101-0. But I'm 100% for this coach and his players.
The losers getting mad at the other team running up the score have misplaced anger. They should be mad at themselves. The solution isn't for the better team to lay down and "be good sports." The solution is the other teams need to get better, or play in a park league that doesn't keep score.
That loser coach at the end of the segment that wouldn't congratulate the other team or shake hands with the coach is the one who's exhibiting bad sportsmanship.

It's high school .......................and kids can be taught to win and to be competitive without that degree of domination and that level of humiliation thrown at an outclassed opponent.
Outside the playing field, Herring may be intelligent, caring, and supportive but with his assinine behavior on the sidelines and with his coaching philosophy, I would not want him in any league where any kid of mine was participating.
No familiar with the name, but, shades of that basketball coach of a few years ago.
This guy is a disgrace. I hope his team never wins a state title.
Is he really counting on playing time on Friday nights to build his kids' stamina? Really?

It's easy to be a bad loser, it takes work to be a bad winner and this guy apparently is working overtime.
Unless it's a payback to a team that did this to you, there's no reason for it, and even then it's better to take the high road and not do it.
Your team doesn't get any better by piling on the points and you risk getting a starter hurt needlessly.
Once you've got the game well in hand, show a little class and put the replacements in. All this does is show you've lost track of what being a Coach is really about.
There's more to being a winner than the final score.
