    Long Beach Hotel???

My wife and I are going to the LBGP for the first time since 1976. Where is a good hotel that is really nice and a good location? Any recommendations will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Glenn

Literally across the street from the main entrance, there is the westin. Thats IMO the best choice. Just a couple blocks away there is the Marriott which is also great, and a best western across from it. The vagabond inn is just a block from the hairpin too. There are bars, restaurants all around you at any of those. There is even the passport busses that provide free transportation around downtown.

The closer you stay to the track, the more expensive the hotels get. If you want to save some money and don't mind hopping on a bus for 10minutes there are a few more options.

    Hope that was helpfull!

Stayed at Avia last year and it was incredible. The rate was very reasonable, front entrance basically on the track. Next to paying for a room at the Hyatt, you can't find a better location in relation to the track. They put on a pretty good rooftop presentation also. Probably my choice again this year.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'm a little late, most of the nice hotels are already full close to the track. I went ahead and made reservations for the Vagabond Inn near the hairpin. I can walk to my seats from there, should save on some cab rides.
