Are the Pacers this good or is Orlando this bad? I sometimes wondered last night despite the blowout.

A little of both... they claim that if the Pacers advance that the Pacers/Heat match up is going to be a good one to watch. It was hard to believe after watching game 1 and the first half of game 2... But that's what they claim.

    Way to gut it out...

...but they need to close out better going forward.

    That sounds familiar (*cough*Purdue).

I don't understand why you don't bang the second free throw off the rim and fight for the rebound with 2.2 seconds left and a one point lead.

At that point, the Magic had two timeouts. In the NBA, when a team calls a timeout, they get the ball at half court. With the ball at half-court, the Magic would have gotten a really good look, but would only be down by one point in that scenario. Missing a free-throw on purpose with 2.2 seconds left on the clock works in college, but not in the NBA. If the Magic had no timeouts, it would be a good decision, though.

Oh... I guess you miss & forget a bunch when you only watch the NBA when the Pacers make it into the playoffs.

Nice recovery by the Pacers after letting the lead get away.

And Larry, I'm not sure about the green shirt and green plaid jacket combo. Where do you think you are, Boston.

Haven't seen Pacers b-ball on race weekend since 2004.

    Is this the year?

    Sa-weet!!
My first Indy 500 was 1973, haven't missed one since 1981. To date I have attended 35 Indy 500's, and probably 100 or so other IndyCar races (CART & IRL).

Still up in the 3rd but I have faith in the NBA. Nothing matters until the 4th quarter.

    Yep.

And whoever did the telecast. Apparently they didn't know that LeBron could dunk the ball.

Not that it was necessarily the difference in the game, but I can see what Vogel means when he says that the Heat are floppers. I saw one really bad case that the officials seemed intent on calling right in front of Vogel at the end of the first half. Almost like they were taunting Vogel.

I felt the Pacers should have won this game. Well, on to Game 2.

Same here. And playing 5-on-8 is tough.

The David Stern interview yesterday was a freaking joke.

No way the Pacers are allowed to win this series. The NBA will not have the Big 3 tossed out in round 2.
The other team that will get hosed this round is Ok. City.

It would be great to see an Indiana vs Ok. City Finals. The ratings would be so low the NBA may never recover.

I've always thought the season was at least 25% too long... and IMO this season confirms that.
