For the first time ever, I didn't order the show. But, taking nothing away from Danica, Sarah Fisher also raced at Eldora, on her 18th birthday, no less, as you can see, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEOIzkC8apI

Did that just now. I still don't see the Danicamaniacs posting thoughts on how Danica is the best driver ever...or as you said, "the 2nd Coming, The Great Danica". Only one poster here was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the top with his adoration of Danica, and that was Danicafan - who was just a fan of Danica and he was ran off by posters who provoked and attacked him time and time again.

At this point, I think you're so jaded at the attention she garners, that you're seeing things that just don't exist.

    Breaking News: Danica Rear-Ended:

Actually, her souvenir trailer. D'oh. No word on the driver of the other semi yet - just happened, pic stolen from twitter..

I applaud her finishing the race, but 1 long afternoon on dirt would have produced a higher finish, and maybe Zero laps down. Still, she did respectable, and I hope she kicks her own butt for not taking time for testing. She kept the car upset with too much steering wheel wagging, twice what anyone else was doing, and got better as the race went on. How she kept her steady pace is beyond me.

Not at all because there wasn't any.

I've wrenched on a lot of midgets & champ cars at Eldora, and there is nothing easy about that place, especially for a driver with no dirt track experience.

She completed a lot of laps and definitely knows more now than she did before the experience.

In addition, GoDaddy and .Org donated $25,000 to Feed the Children.

I'm happy to stand up and say 'Good Job Danica'!!!!
Here you go ElMaestro. I only went back a few posts and as they relate to this most recent embarassment. I hope I don't need to hi-light this for you any further (it is the usual suspects by the way, only short of Solvera). I should do a better job of remembering that your M-O is to only see what you want and post accordingly. We've been through this before. Save your time because I won't be wasting anymore of mine. Making you look foolish is way to easy and not what I set out to do.

4Wide, I see more hatred for Danica in this thread than I do praise. And that hatred is coming from you. What is your problem? There, I just had to get that off my chest. Maybe you can go away now, since this is the Danica thread, and you do not like her.

And I still don't see where anyone is calling her the 2nd Coming or the best driver ever. Do you?

What have "we" been through before?

He won't go away. Posters like him will continue to **** all over anything they don't like until the "fans" just walk away from this site and this sport. Some people just aren't happy unless everyone else is as miserable as them.

If you see more hatred than praise, you're blind. And the "reality check" comes from a few of us just as the gushing comes from the a handful of the same people. I'm not going anywhere and really don't give a damn what you think or hope for. Thus is in fact the Danica thread...the ALL things Danica thread. Did I miss a memo that said it all has to be of praise?

I didn't say I was leaving, I said I wasn't going to spend my time making you look foolish. It is too easy and not what my intentions are. We have been through this before, you're doing it again. You're using semantics to suggest my statement is false. If i said people refer to Danica "as if" she were the 2nd coming would it change the meaning any? I find it hard to believe you're that stupid. Then again, this isn't the first time so who knows.

This makes absolutely no sense. So if it isn't unwaivering love for Danica or if you just don't agree, its ******* all over and you're just miserable for saying it? Sounds pretty hypocritical.

Tells me the bar is pretty high. I didn't expect her to do any better than Harvick did in his first trip to Eldora. And if you don't recall, he backed into the T1 wall on L1 & tore the hell out of his car.

And again... you should really take posts for what is typed & not what you think is typed.

The first quote I would grant is gushing praise - the rest of them are. not even vlose. Which goes back to my point, anything that is positive about Danica you turn into danicamanics going overboard. If you hate danica so much, why bother posting in threads about her? Your post count is helping keeping her current and in the news. The sooner people stop talking about her, the sooner the media will turn to someone else.

    "gushing praise"?

Merely an observation of her first time in a DLM against some extremely stout competition at a very difficult track.

I'm not a fan of hers at all, but unlike some others around here I'm not going to type a bunch of BS that's not true just to try to tear her down, that would be pointless & just make me look foolish.

Who is suggesting that Danica is a fantastic driver? Who is constantly gushing over her and talking about her like she is one of the elite drivers? It doesn't matter if you say "2nd Coming" or "fantastic driver" or whatever. You are suggesting that these Danicamaniacs are always gushing all about Danica saying how she's all that; however, I just don't see it. Nor does anyone else.

I will agree that Danicafan was one of those fanatical posters you keep talking about, but he's been run off by posters constantly calling him out merely because he's a fan of driver in a sport we all supposedly love.

Did you just call me stupid? Violation of the user agreement here, no? Semantics, I know...

As I've said before, you find your way to just about every Danica related thread on this site....like a moth to a flame. Every time you spit the same thing about how she sucks. We get it. You think she sucks. Even in a thread, like this one, which talked about her accomplishments of coming to Eldora and running consistent, respectable laps and staying out of trouble. No one said she is equal to Tony Stewart or Kyle Busch. No one said she is able to win that race among all those much better drivers on dirt. Merely she performed fairly well for her first time going to a track and surface she's never set foot ever. So, posters who say such a thing are Danicamaniacs in your book? Your book must be all filled up then. Time to buy another book.

In her first Prelude race, she actually did better than Indy racer Tony Kanaan has done in all three of his appearances. Not saying she is better, but to deny that she has talent is a little absurd. Tony Stewart speaks highly of her. I feel confident that he is a better judge of talent than 4Wide. I also heard Roger Penske comment on how talented of a driver she is. What do you say to that, 4Wide?

Tony Stewart has a financial interest behind his comments. Maybe he really does believe in her but only time will tell. In my option, 15+ years professional racing under her belt tells me you've seen the peak of her development and talent. Should we talk about some of the comments made in and out if public made by her former team owners, teammates, and colleagues? Might also make nite that JGR, Roush, RCR, or Hendrick weren't beating down the door to get her. Stewart is trying to build his team, I don't blame him for taking advantage of the wave.

    Aloha Littleman,,,

    Thanks for posting,,,

What a great clip,,, Sarah, another great talent...
And to think, at one time I shot off my mouth
    about her too... Sad...

She's a Great talent,,, "Precious Little Tike",,,,

For Sarah to run at Eldora, with the those top
named drivers, and put on a show like that,,,
unreal,,, that was a great show... And talk
    about courage...

Same with Danica,,, great talent,,, and if you
put it all in context, or look at her, in the big
    picture... It get's even better,,,

Seven billion human beings on this planet
called earth,,, Danica is but one... But then,
she is also one out of a hundred,,, that
can drive a Cup Car, an Indy Car,,, or a
"Dirt Modified at Eldora", with the likes of
Steve Kinser, on any given day...

    That's Rarefied Air,,

Now That's,,, "One Out of Seven Billion",,,

Can't find an injury report on the truck driver, but the Go Daddy truck driver is supposed to be ok.

I guess his saving grace would be if the concession trailer absorbed the impact and compacted.

Glad no one was seriously injured. Driver of the other semi was taken to the hospital with "moderate injuries", looks like they may have had to extract him with the jaws of life. Hard to tell by the pics.

    Crew chief backs Danica Patrick

BROOKLYN, Mich. -- The crew chief for Danica Patrick believes the Nationwide Series driver is being put in bad situations because competitors don't like losing to a woman.

When Austin Dillon got Patrick loose during Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Michigan, forcing her to spin out for the second of three times, Tony Eury Jr. radioed to his driver, "They hate that you're running this good."

"I've heard comments made, 'Well, why is the 7 running so good? The girl is getting better and better,' " Eury said after the former IndyCar star finished 18th in a race she was in the top 10 most of the day. "It's to the point where she's running with the competitive guys.

"We all have egos. We don't want the girl to outrun us. It's a fact of she's getting put in some situations where she doesn't need put into because they're taking advantage. If she's loose, they'll get up under her right rear or whatever."

Eury spent 10 minutes talking to his JR Motorsports driver immediately after the race, then another 15 minutes after she did interviews. He told her she needs to pay attention to what drivers are doing to her so "when she gets as good as them, she can repay the favor."

Patrick spun out on the first lap but avoided contact with the wall and other cars. She rallied and was running top 15 when Dillon got her loose on lap 104.

She was running eighth when Brad Sweet got her loose on lap 114. The last time, she made contact with the wall.

"When you're racing with new people, you're trying to earn each other's respect," Patrick said. "You're saying, 'This is where I want to be.' I think I was racing with different people lately. You have to feel each other out."

Dillon's move infuriated Eury. He told Patrick she needed to fight back if she wants to earn respect and drive in this sport for a long time.

"He was driving underneath people and getting them loose," Eury said. "It's a little trick he likes to do. Eventually, he'll be racing with guys who are going to do it to him a lot. He's not going to go up in the Cup Series and start running up underneath them guys back bumper, because they will teach him a lesson and do it right back."

Patrick's goal is to run full time in the Cup series next year with Stewart Haas Racing. Eury hopes experiences such as Saturday will help when she gets there.

"I want her to remember how certain people race her, remember how certain guys race you, so when she gets to his level, she can race them back like that,'' Eury said. "That's it."
