    Pat and Vanna...Drunk at work

    http://content.usatoday.com/communit...ortune-drunk/1

"Vanna and I would go across and have two or three or six and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognizing the alphabet. They're really good tapes to get a hold of," Sajak said.

"We had a different show then. You didn't win money. You won fake money with which you could buy cheesy prizes," he explained.

Did it make the shows better or worse? "I had a great time. I have no idea if the shows were any good, but no one said anything, so I guess I did OK."
Wow, I remember when you used to buy stuff. The ceramic dalmation, the Toblerone, and the remainder on gift certificate to Service Merchandise.
    It's a Hoosier thing, you wouldn't understand...

On CNN this morning they kept "teasin" with; just wait until you hear what Pat Sayjak is confessing to...

The tease didn't work I didn't linger long enough to find out... Turns out it was just as stupid as I assumed.

I can remember when Chuck Woolery was the host and some other lady turned the letters.

I would not balk at the chance to go have a couple drinks with Vanna!

Actually, I think the big news here may be that Pat and Vanna were normally doing the show sober.

When I watched this, my first thought was that Pat Sajak is sharp and witty and would make a great replacement for Regis.

That would be Susan Stafford, whom I thought was just as attractive (in her day) as Vanna.

Gene, Gene The Dancin' Machine of Gong Show lore may have had some inspiration, as well.
