    McLaren MP4-27

The McLaren MP4-27 was unveiled today. Looks to me that it IS possible to produce decent looking F1 cars even with the 2012 rules. It's good to know it won't all be Caterham looking cars on the grid.

It will be interesting to see how the testing goes on February 7. Hopefully both McLaren and Ferrari will get off to a better start this year or lest be as competitive as they were at the end of last year.

Hmm, I don't know. I think the front wing needs a few more elements.

Pretty nice. I always think with McLaren's color scheme it's hard to make a bad looking car.

My guess is you (1) have not seen the 2012 Caterham & (2) hated the McLaren MP4/26???

This year's MP4/27 is very similar in appearance & the internet is already full of side by side comparisons of the 2011 + 2012 McLarens

I'm still thinking if the Caterham photos had any light on them they might look better. Hard to tell in the dark.

They are probably hiding lots more ugliness in the shadows.

Like all the others Mc Laren, this one is a beautiful car.

That philosophy doesn't work for drunks(men or women...) who pick their dates up at the bar around last call

Bright lights will NOT help the Caterham's fugly appearance

Nice to know my favourite team has a beauty. Now let's see if it's faster than the RedBull's.

Something about it reminds me of the RB7, but I'm still trying to figure out what it is. Perhaps its the sidepods, which are no longer U-shaped

The Mclaren looks ten times better than the Caterham and will probably be ten times quicker than the Caterham. Simply rash attempts at going aggressive due to a third year of promise and no real gains for the lotus racing, team lotus now caterham squad.
And so we came to Road America where we burned up at the lake, but at the speedway of Nazareth I made no mistake

Well, Joe, it was the 90s. Definitely some "interesting" looking cars in that era.

Question from a novice F1 fan...how is it that all the other cars have the drop down nose yet the McLaren does not?
I'm gonna wiggle it at 'em, you cheap b@st@rd. Be prepared, because when I yank it out, everybody in that audience except my wife is gonna be runnin' for the exits.

According to what I have read, McLaren uses a lower suspension setup than the other teams, so the nose overall is lower than the rest of the teams. It's helpful to think that the bumps are steps up for the suspension rather than steps down for the nose.
