and everything ran as well as last week, would the goodwill of those attending and those writing on the amazing job Indy did be the same????

"My favorite time of the day at the Speedway during the month of May was just after dusk, after the track had closed down for day, I used to go out and sit on the pit wall and just listen and think"~ Dick Ralstin
Guess: still positive, but moderately less so.
Cancer sucks.
I take it the weather is slightly less welcoming to those from the warmer climes?
If so, I'm with Ren. One point in Indy's favor is that you've built your downtown to basically be teed up for conventions. All the hotels are interconnected via (insulated) skyways, and it's all pretty close together anyway. It's one of the reasons I enjoy GenCon so much; everything is quite literally right there.
So for those of us used to it, it's actually a very nice day, but maybe not so much if you're burning vacation time to be there. Yeah, that might dampen spirits a bit, but I think you're right; the vibe would still generally be positive. You all are just really good at hosting stuff.
I think the only difference would be some hater with a press pass would be writing about how UNBELIEVABLY, MIND-BLOWINGLY STUPID it is to have a zip line when it's #$@$!@# COLD outside.
Other than that, pretty much the same.![]()
