Can't get that song out of your head?

    Post it here.

Today, for me, it was this:

"Only a fool fights in a burning house."-Kang

"If you listen to fools....The Maaahhhhb Ruuuules....."-Ronnie James Dio

No offense but this is the worst idea for a thread ever!

You just want to make people suffer with you.

This has been going thru my head today.

I've been coaching football games unable to shake the Barney songs that my kids listened to.

Nothing like trying to figure out how to stop a cross-slanting defensive line while you're listening to this in you head:

Reminds me of the 1998 Alamo Bowl. This three story bar on the Riverwalk was chuck filled with cocky assed K State fans Ranked #2 (#4) in the country slumming in a lower bowl cuz their conference honchos jackassed their pecking order before the Conf. Champ. Game. Well there they are some 300-400 strong giving us the Cal hayseed treatment when this table of 8 starts singing the Barney song and doesn't stop. Well, our table of 4 and a couple of other tables join in in the round and it wasn't 15 minutes before we cleared that place of everything purple.

I believe our very own Grover was the instiGATOR on that one. Way to go Brother. And after Isaac Stone Hands Jones caught a late pass from Breesus, Purple was pretty quiet walking out.

In all my Bowl Travels and all the opponents I give credit to OK St. Their fans honored their team with some of the best chants and cheers and were loud and proud without cutting down their opponent's fans. Since it was our first bowl game since about Armstrong took his STEP, we literally had to come up with something on the fly on the Riverwalk I credit OK St. with our WE ARE - PUR_DUE cheer back and forth on the Riverwalk because that is the only thing us hayseeds could think of in light of a well organized traveling set of fans from OK St. I'd like to think we can strive to be the same high character win or lose save the usual few bad eggs that everyone has...

Grover had an even better time at the Sun Bowls a few years later. Labamba's and their burritos have nothing on him...
    Natural Born Cynic

What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...

Yeah, that ride's brutal. But there's worse: my wife, who grew up in Anaheim, got busted on Small World for smoking something that didn't come in a fancy pack. But to this day she says that her worst experience there was getting stuck for an hour on the Pirate's ride. With the music going the entire time.

Later in life she worked at the park, but helping rescue Snow White from local gang bangers wasn't as bad as listening to those damn pirates. According to her. Most of the rest of us would kill for the chance to rescue Snow White.

A very simple song... but sung incredibly well.

Probably why it's dug it's way in so deep.

An old girlfriend hates 'Magic' by Olivia Newton John. Sometimes I'll send her a youtube link of that song just to pi** her off. She usually replies with an email telling me that I should do something to myself that is physically impossible.

Thank you for posting this! I love those commercials just to hear a bit of this song!

    Funny you say that.

When I was 16 in 1982 I rode to upstate NY with my buddy and his mom to spend the weekend at his grandparents house.

The mid 70s Chevy we rode up in had an 8 track with one tape. A Greatest Country Hits compilation. Flowers on the Wall was on that 8 track. Must have heard it somewhere between eight and 19,000 times on the way to and from his grandparents house.

That song along with Daddy Sang Bass and Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad will forever remind me of that seemingly endless car ride

That weekend was also the first time I drank in a bar

    A different era indeed

This one goes through my head at three in the morning while I'm feeding our #$@#@#@ cats... Mostly because of the music, not the lyrics...
