Since the Atlantic series will most likely never return.....

I guess it would be okay to start an Atlantic photo nostalgia thread.

I've finally gotten around to adding a fair number of pics to my Atlantic set on flickr.

At present there are almost 450 snaps. I will add to the set when I get the time and energy to do so.

Go for it it. I checked out your link the other day and loved the shots. I'd love to see more.

I loved Atlantics...the WCAR series was epic in its day.

Dan Marvin...John David Briggs...Tom Phillips...Chris Bender...Darin Brassfield...Joe Sposato and his old March, who would beat the Ralts at Riverside...Jimmy Santos...Scott Goodyear...Jeff Wood...John Della Penna...Chris Kniefel, nine feet tall and somehow managing to fit in a Ralt...Johnnie Crean (later Rich Vogler's Father-in-Law)...Roberto Quintanilla...

Thank you for your kind words. It is serious fun for me to get my images out for people to see.

I wish I didn't have to work in the real world and had more time to spend on them.

Every time I get into the pics I realize how fortunate I was to have stumbled into that series when I did.

    Thanks again.

    PS
And speaking of nine foot tall Chris Kneifel.....

They had a very nice field of1974-1980 Formula Atlantic Cars at Laguna Seca. I'll get some of my pics on line this week.

    DM, rrrr...

    Thank for your kind words.

I spent a few hours at Laguna on the Saturday of the event. Had a great time.

Sold some pics, made some new friends and got to spend some time with some old friends, notably Jon Norman, Dan Marvin, Paul Hasselgren and Stefan Dwornik.

Of that group I've known the first 3 since '75 and SD for over 30 years.

I wish I could do that more often. The biggest thing I miss about the Atlantic series is the people. It was a special series, a special time with special people. I was one very lucky camper to have fallen into that part of motorsport history.
