    The earliest I can find in print of IMS officially using the term "Fast Friday" for the day before pole day is 1996. But the term was used loosely for quite some time before that.

    I'm not sure darrel is bright enough to make stuff up on his own. I suspect he stole "boogity3" from someone in a bar, while the rest is stuff written by his staff and shoved in front of him just before a broadcast.
