I really can't explain the logic on this one after the last game.....
Great... It's almost like they noticed that Game 3 had some of the best ratings and said "let's put on a show". While I don't necessarily want to see a ref call every little push and stick hold, a solid, respected, veteran official would seem to be a natural.

Oh they have to be expecting ridiculous ratings for Game 4.

And I also say they have to be hoping Pittsburgh wins tonight so they can milk it for at least 2 more days

The hearing will be convened at the NHL's New York office for a hit Torres delivered to Chicago forward Marian Hossa 12:42 into the first period of Game 3 of the teams' Western Conference Quarterfinal series in Chicago on Tuesday, April 17.

They had me at "suspended indefinitely...I hope they suspend him for the remainder of the playoffs...
IMO, that was just a chickensh!t hit. You should never leave your skates to blindside an opponent. I hope Torres gets a lot more than a game or two for that one.
BTW, it seemed to me that the referees' called eveything during the season and now they seem reluctant to blow the whistle. Am I wrong?

Here we go...Flyers - Pens on NBCSports and Rangers - Senators on CNBC. I'm as nervous as the proverbial cat in a roomful of rocking chairs.

@#$!* Bryzgalov...stop a darn puck! Flyers too passive.

Well, the refs in Philly have made it clear they are going to call everything. Flyers 2 PP goals, back up 3-2 still in the first. Phew...

4-3 Pens end of one, Pens start 2nd on the PP. Looks like pond hockey. If I'm Lavi I really ought to think about starting Bobrovsky next period. He cannot be worse than Bryz.

Ugh...6-3 Pens now. Bob in goal, but this one is over IMHO.

Holy jumpin' jellybeans...Bob wasn't the answer. 9-3 Pens. Complete embarassment, terrible effort.

Both goalies still look like crap...only Fleury just a little less than Bob/Bryz...

Rangers and Ottawa tied at 2...

This game was the anti-Game 3 from the start in that there was no point where I was really enjoying the game. The call 17 seconds in on Kennedy was a joke, just as bad was the awful call on Malkin on the face off. It continued with Read being given two minutes for a shoulder check. Either way, this game has lived up to what was expected - a continual PP for one team or the other.

The best action in this series was when it was 5-5. There's been what, 3 minutes total in this game?

And Slim - any questions about Bobrovsky now? Sullivan and Staal's goals both show exactly why he's a 10-games a year back up. Shoot high and if it's on net it's in. He's Niitymaki but worse.

I'm telling you, D...he was a Penguin killer earlier in the season. But, you see a ton more of him than I do. I guess you're still looking for a replacement for Beezer. I loved him. It's not a secret that I have an affinity for the goalies.

Ugh, here we go. Let's see if 9 is enough....

I'm almost ready to see them both sit and start Leighton. He's with the team and did get to the Finals in 2010. Complete turnaround from the first three games, Flyers with no defensive prescence, passes aren't crisp, just a terrible effort in a close-out game at home.

For the first time in the series, nagging doubt about the Flyers closing out the series is in my mind. Part of that is Philly Paranoia, but with the series going back to Pittsburgh, Neal and Martin back, Malkin apparently back to normal, no Flyer goalies...tough to be overly confident.

Please don't call him Beezer, particularly during the playoff time. Just brings back bad memories of giving up soft short-side goals against Toronto.....

I don't think there needs to be a replacement for Bryz. He was outstanding the second half of the season. It's just that he has to find his game for this team to succeed. And a lot of that is the Flyers playing a sound game in front of him (no differently than Fleury. How many of the goals he gave up did not have him in the splits? Maybe the couple fluke goals, but those can often be the consequence of not being compact because the goals being given up required him going post-to-post.)

akh - don't forget they tried the Leighton route last year and it blew up in Laviolette's face.

After tonight, I'm honestly going to predict a 3-2 final in Game 5. I think Fleury is starting to get confident and was looking much more settled in the second half of the game. I also think that giving up 10 goals will have the Flyers playing an almost Tampa-style trap.

Vick to D-Jax, XP and we're tied right?

I just want the Flyers to maintain their composure, and that's on the edge. Refs not messing around tonight.

I should have put the winky guy on that line, but honestly...could he do worse than this?

Fleury is looking more confident, but he's facing almost no shots, no traffic. Flyers are 2 steps slow, playing with no spirit. I can't express how disappointed I am in this performance.

There must be a reason he's with the team....At this point I wonder if the Pens will bring Thiessen back up? Probably not, as he's still very green.

Have Doc or Pierre mentioned Hartnell at all tonight? Is he playing?

Well, nice to see the Penguins actually play tonight. You're back home in Pitt on Friday. Continue the momentum.

Oh, we heard that word over the air in the 3rd period during the Pens game...

Now I'm hoping LA takes out Vancouver so we can quit hearing about D.Sedin being out of the lineup. Plus,I like Jonathan Quick. Watched quite a bit of Kings games this season.
