NASCAR's Brad Keselowski in IndyCar some day?

    http://www.rpm2night.com/media/kesel...eel-more.1244/

I was going thru some of the video interviews from Texas last weekend and came across some interesting stuff from Brad Keselowski.

His first answer in this video centers on open wheel and apparently Brad wants to try it one day.

I would love to see this. But IndyCar fans have been teased with this kind of thing before and in the end it was just talk. However, Penske is his boss.

I'm afraid with the way NASCAR drivers are "racing educated" he'd end up killing someone in IndyCar.

I thought it was interesting and he says he's a fan and keeps up with open wheel racing. So, who knows what'll happen some day down the road? Brad's a good kid and I don't think he said that just to say it. I think he meant that one day he'd like to try it.

You mean that denigrating NASCAR doesn't make Indycar more popular? The why do some people seem to keep trying something so ignorant? There's an INDYCAR marketing plan in there too, "INDYCAR we've got the bravest internet posters."

Just about every NASCAR driver says they would like to drive an Indy car, quite a few say they would like to do the 500, some would like to run one on a road course. So are any of them going to give up even one week of NASCAR when they make so much money doing what they know for a one off at something they don't? No but they know it yanks the chains of that little bunch of TF posters, they are more than happy to say something to get them. They don't even have to read TF to know they made some saps jump to their tune. Since so many of them say the same thing at intervals through the season they may text each other to see who gets to say it this week to get those guys started.

Why get upset when a driver currently in NASCAR says something nice about Indycar?

He may never come, but he certainly did not say anything to get upset about. Drivers are drivers. Some wind up in NASCAR, some sports cars, some Indycar. Why would one assume they are only interested in their current area?

I won't hold my breath, but it'd get publicity. If he can get over the greed of a lower salary I'd welcome him. But the real question is would Beaux let him tweet from the car during the race? lol

That's not at all what he said...

He said it's funny that people think they can prove ICS is a superior series to NASCAR by degrading themselves down to the level of a 3 year old and call NASCAR names. And I agree with him. It's hilarious that NASCAR gets under the skin of SO many people on here that they immediately devolve from a grown man to a elementary bully who calls his "enemies" a "poopy face."

Almost all the NASCAR drivers asked about running IndyCar will/have said that they would like to try it.

I'd like to see one actually do it, aside from Montoya, John Andretti and Smoke as they have allready been there.

    Talk is cheap.

    Get your contract re-worked.

Is this the same Big Mouth Brad who criticized the Indy 500 last year? Now he wants to try it? Spare me. He doesnt have the guts. He strikes me as one of those drivers who wouldnt do something like that because he doesnt want his reputation to take a hit when he gets spanked. Contracts are the reason for alot of drivers granted, but others are just scared to risk their reputation as a driver and you can understand that since the American media makes most nascar drivers look like way better drivers than they actually are. Perception and reality.

Never cared for Brad, talented driver but runs his mouth too much. If he was as good driving as he is running his mouth he'd be a cup champion by now.

I find it to be a waste of even comparing the two series. Its like comparing the IBF to the WWF. Sorry, I call it how I see it. Moreover, I would love to see the results of random IQ tests acquired from each fanbase.

And you posters that bust on drivers who express an interest in running Indy...really?

Grow up...those guys are being polite and expressing a desire to run in one of the most important races in history. It doesn't mean they are planning to buy a Dallara next week. Oh, and if they don't show up, it's not because they lack balls.

    Juvenile hostility at its worst.

Its a wonder guys like Kernan even bother trying to provide you schmucks with entertainment.

Let's not get into series bashing or tit-for-tat insults. Plenty of other sites for that. If you have a point to make, make it civilly, support it logically, and save the namecalling and taunts for when you want to earn a vacation from posting through May.

Good...I'm trying to understand why wanting a bigger salary is 'greedy'...isn't that what professionals perform for...

When it became the same as a stick and ball sport in the late 80's they lost me as a fan.

I know a LOT of people that agree with that... and most of those either make, or made a living in the motorsports industry - or spent hundreds of thousands on it as a hobby.

Were Brad to race an indycar he would instantly become the most popular driver in the series. (Based on demonstratable number of fans.)

Exactly, he would also be the most hated due to the NASCAR hate that fans on this board show on a daily basis.
