(With apologies to McDonald's) Not to blow sunshine up anyone's skirt, but after three races there are plenty of things I'm loving about 2012.

- I love all the engine drama. Each manufacturer has its strengths and weaknesses and as the season goes they'll all get better. From ECU bugs and turbo protests to the questionable status of Lotus and teams switching, it is all good as far as I'm concerned.

- Though I'll probably like the look better next year with body kits, I love the new car. It is tough and it seems to race pretty good. I can't wait to see it on an oval.

- I love the racing. The races so far have been much better than what we've seen the past few years. The new Race Control regime seems to have its act together and they're using common sense on things like keeping the pit road open, local yellows, penalties, etc.

Is everything perfect? No, but I think there is plenty of good to talk about right now. Bring on Brazil!

Careful, there is also a guy on here called "Sweaty". I don't want to feel cheated.

Good points. Another one I'd like to add (although I was trying to avoid this because it always seems to stir up the hornet's nest) is that I don't see all that many people missing Distract-A-Mania. If anything, Hinch has been a net positive because he has a better personality and is a better driver than who he replaced.

I'm not as concerned Grinder. Indy is a tricky place. It's real easy to get hurt (drivers and equipment). Once a 2 million dollar pay day, 500 rings and your face immortilized for ever on the B-W (and of course the adulation of beautiful women) is on the line, you'll see more speed than what we've seen so far. A friend of a friend who has a gf with a cousin close to a team told me that 220 was touched by one car at the last test and has gone un reported.

And I do agree the body kits are going to be another nice twist.

Go on the record Dog. How fast should they be? Lets say they qual pole this year at 224. last year was 228. 4 mph thats a huge deal? And considering they will have about 100 less hp this year, isn't that an accomplishment for the first year of a new platform?

The look of the car this year reminds me of the first year or two of the Car of Tomorrow in NASCAR. Before they tweaked the nose and got rid of the rear wing, the CoT was the epitomy of spec racing at its ugliest. The changes they made helped a bit and when the manufacturers start making their own bodies again next year I think they will be in much better shape. I think the same thing will be true for IndyCar.

Dear "INDYCAR":

Please keep doing what you're doing. Sure, there'll be more bumps along the way (*coughLotuscough*), but it'll all be worth it in the end. I think. Maybe. Well, at least it will for me.

Now get us a few more ovals in 2013, maybe another manufacturer if the new Lotus overlords tighten the purse strings, and we'll really be in business.

I was very happy just to have new cars, turbos, and engine competition. Then they finally re-decorated race control. And then they changed the rulebook. And THEN RUBENS came along. For the first time in along time, i don't feel like we are in a nose dive trying to put out an engine fire. Now I feel we are at least leveled out putting on 1 engine over friendly waters. Low and slow, but we are alive, and the racing is great. Thanks NBC. ABC best wake up and smell their carbon monoxide come Indy. I hope they have Bernard and Barnhardt up their arses the entire broadcast. Thanks Marshall Pruett for making a spectacle of ABC.
