For the last couple of years I have decided to start enjoying a Cigar. Usually AM and PM provide a good time to spend an hour with or so after a meal with my mate, a friend, a drink and a cigar.
I know, those stinky things, but I went on a quest for the "GREAT CIGAR", and actually found that cigars do have a flavor to be enoyed as well as providing a time frame to sit back, and pair the nicotine indulgence with friends and a drink.
There are even boutique cigars infused with herbs and spices that make an aroma that many people enjoy.
You don't huff down a cigar like a cigarette. You quietly enjoy the experience and pair it with anther joy. A discussion, a drink, a sunset, a book, etc. You need at least 45 minutes to savor any cigar, and some you have to commit as much as 2 to 2.5 hours.
My favorites run to a medium/hearty smoke. Nougats of carmel, chocolate, coffee and spice need to be present in the flavor. I have found that I prefer a Nicarraguan (sp?) tobacco and maduro wrapper. Padron's are my go to cigar, with the 1926 Anniversary Serie topping the list. These are best paired with a red wine or a good coffee and after a BIG red meat meal.
How about the rest of you?
