Danica Is Smarter Than Everyone Thought

Well, I have to hand it to Danica Patrick. I always knew she was smart and a great racecar driver but so far this year, her instincts were shown to be spot on ! This woman left Indycar at a good time. After speaking with her many times, I had this feeling she would leave, especially talking to her back in 2009 at Kentucky.

She made the move because of several reasons, in no particular order...

1. More money & exposure
2. She loves to drive stock cars
3. Lack of ovals in Indycar
4. The direction Indycar was going

So far what I have seen, solidifies her decision. Indycar losing American venues left and right, particularly ovals. Too many road/street courses. The new car design not being up to par. All this penalty and rule violations coming out every week. Indy 500 having small entry numbers. This series direction is on a path to destruction unless there are changes made.

Danica definitely did the right thing and move to NASCAR. You go Girl !!!!

Ya know Danica did come up through go karts, European series, etc., I.e., road courses.

Why would she car about penalties? NASCAR hands them out just as much too.

Why would she car about the limited number of entries for the Indy 500 this year? One freaking year...an exception to the norm.

Last year there were 35 plus entries and she barely made the field.

Leave to the cab series to latch on to a novelty act after the novelty has already worn off. I hear they may start planking in nascar garages this year.

That Richmond race lastnight was awesome! One of the best finishes Ive seen in a long time. Yes, I wish Danica would of done better but I still enjoyed the race very much. I guarantee you that the Sao Paulo race will not be nearly as exciting as Richmond was lastnight.
