NBA Playoffs

For those of us who only watch the NBA when the Pacers are in the Playoffs... Who are these defending Champs that Ernest keeps speaking of and has taken such glee in sweeping?

The Dallas Mavericks.

I hate to rain on Ernest's parade (chuckle) but the Mavs that got swept are a far cry from the Mavs who won the championship last year. They let some top players go to to free cap space to build for the future. Fairly miraculous that they even made the playoffs.

"After last season’s championship, the Mavericks didn’t keep center Tyson Chandler, DeShawn Stevenson, J.J. Barea or Caron Butler. Chandler went to the New York Knicks and last week was named the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year.

While letting those players go seemingly hurt this season, it helped Dallas gain some salary-cap flexibility for free agency this summer."
