You're all over it I didn't think they'd have those up yet.

Actually, this is pretty exciting. I need to upgrade my copies of 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000 from VHS copies.

Is there are rights issue, or why is it that they don't show certain races? What I mean is, in the last few years, ESPNClassic has done a nice job to show a very good number of races, and some, they even repeat... but 1993, 1995, 1998, and 2004 haven't been shown in the last 3 years, but everything else from 1977 to 2003 has. And some like 2001 and 2002 that are shown several times over. I don't want to complain to them, because I'm just glad that these old races are getting some coverage, but I wonder why some are left out?

1994 and 1995 were shown last year, so I'm sure there's no reason why 1993 wouldn't be shown except for someone making a choice.

You skipped 2001, Doc. They're showing that one after the 2000 race at 1 pm est, then 2002 at 3 and 2009 at 5, followed by 2005 at 7.

BTW- May 24 was definitely a good day to the Unsers. Bobby won his third Indy 500, Big Al won his fourth and Little Al his first.

I never in a million years thought they'd show 1973, but they did.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads-up, I'm stoked!
My first Indy 500 was 1973, haven't missed one since 1981. To date I have attended 35 Indy 500's, and probably 100 or so other IndyCar races (CART & IRL).

Hey Ladies and germs, if you haven't seen this one, do it. Heart breaking and awesome at the same time. I accidently deleted my recording of it. Thank for the head s up vegas.

Well, I'm not seeing anything "new" and in fact I don't see 73, which they do have in their rotation.

    I looked at it the same way. Again, no '68, '72, '73, '76, '93, '95, '98, or '04....
However, that gripe aside.... in the last 2 or 3 years they've shown 37 different 500s! Now that's awesome!

    Roger that, goldie, same here.
I just added a sports package to my Dish programming for only $9 to get ESPN Classic. After 30 days, I'll just cancel it. Nine dollars is worth it!

Real easy... You'll just need to buy a DVD Recorder.... (works just like a VCR (except it records to DVDs)). They run between $100-$200. I've bought refurbished units off Amazon.com with success.

To hook them up, you'll run video/audio out cables from your DVR into the DVD recorder. Then, as you play the program off of your DVR, you can record it to a DVD.

    I just recorded the 1991, 1990, and 1989 500s to a DVD last night.

    You the man Hoosier!

And I also just added the sports package on directv for 11 a month. I agree, it's worth it for the month

Second purchase: bulk pack of DVDs. My Indy DVDs are in one of those disc wallet dealies instead of separate cases.
