Notre Dame QB charged with a felony.

Oops. Probably a bad idea to knee a cop in the groin.

Issue compounded by ND linebacker who threatens the arresting officers.

Linebacker Carlos Calabrese also was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication after he tried to intercede while Rees was being arrested. South Bend police Capt. Phil Trent said Calabrese twice told officers: “My people will get you.”
What is he, in the Mob?

Will be interesting to see how ND handles this.

Probably not a good sign when your Quarterback is caught from behind by a police officer. Also the Linebacker is from New Jersey so when he says "My People will get you" he might not be talking about members of his Football Family... but those of another, shall be say... better connected family.

I've heard some stories about Tommy Rees and especially his sister....definitely a bit crazy.

Kick him off. The thing is Kelly said Gunner Kiel has awhile to go before he will be a starter.

Rees wasn't going to be the starter anyway this season. Everet Golson clearly is a better QB and Andrew Hendrix will be the backup. Kiel will be redshirted which will give him time to learn the system and get acclimated to the academics at Notre Dame.
I hope Tommy is able to continue his education at Notre Dame. One night of craziness shouldn't end his scholarship days, imo. BTW, Rees' sister is the crazy one. It's sort of out of character for him to get into this kind of situation. His slowness in avoiding the police, though, is a reason why he shouldn't be the QB at Notre Dame.
One more thing, he only blew a .11.
    Have a very blessed day!

Somehow, I made it through four years of college without kneeing a cop (or anyone else) in the groin even one time. And I wasn't even on an athletic scholarship. I don't know why we shouldn't expect the same from someone who has all the advantages a Notre Dame QB has.

Someone who knows how post a poll on whether Rees will be on the FB steam for ND this fall. I bet he will.

I would vote he won't be on the ND roster this season. I hope he's allowed to finish his ND education.

Calabrese in these parts is slang for "hard headed". He's living the dream.

On his own dime? Sure. I bet he gets his ass bounced from the team.

It's too bad the cop couldn't say to Calabrese that his people will get him and have him stare down a police semi-automatic when saying that. After Carabrese changes his pants, then perhaps he would realize how stupid he was.

Calabrese's comment reminds me of Jeff George threatening Robin Miller in the Colts locker room a couple decades ago.
