My wife and 6 month old (future indycar driver) son Beaux will be traveling from Charlotte on Friday to make Pole Day. Staying in Indiana through race weekend.
Wheldon is a legend now. One of the immortal Gods of Speed.
Beaux Hamilton has a nice ring to it, just rolls off one's tongue.
Hate to be a downer, but there is no value this year in traveling to qualifications for us this year. Drove up from Atlanta that last 2 years for qualifications and the race, but with only 32-33 cars and a lot of question marks, we'll just be attending the race. Too bad, typically I get my St Elmo and Mug and Bun fix the weekend of qualifications. Maybe next year there will be a few more cars to make the weekend worth the trip.
After about ten years in a row attending Qualifications, I'm thinking of trying something different this year.
My plan is to arrive Opening Day and attend four days of Practice. There should be plenty of action on the Track with everyone trying to get a handle on the new cars.
I'll watch Pole and Bump days on TV and then return to Indy on Carb Day for The Race weekend.
(I hereby reserve the right to also attend The Time Trials if the spirit so moves.)
I will be there with at least my dad, brother and girlfriend, but she may also bring her mom and stepfather. Either way, it will be a good time, gotta love Pole Day
We'll be there for Bump Day through the end of the race- coming from South Carolina.
Right now the plan is to be there on Pole Day and Race Day. I've yet to decide on Carb Day/Hoosier Hundred or the Terre Haute USAC race on Thursday.
I'm already in town with Bronze Badge, need I say more?

Ill be there opening day, fast friday, both qual days, community day, carb day, and raceday.
I get 6 weeks vacation a year, and i take 2 of them in May. I'll be there every day as usual.
Big Mo will be there all three days for the weekend with two great friends. I'll be hunting down a colleague from Oakley Racing who makes sure the sponsored drivers have their eyewear. And I'll be looking up the guys in Tech Inspection to see the latest in that area with the new car and the new tools. They're a great bunch and they enjoy showing off what they do.

Traveling with 5 from IL!!! Quals and Race!
My brother and I always drive up from the 'Ville for Pole Day. If the forecast is good, we sometimes end up dragging a few others.
One of these years, I'm going to drive all the way out for pole day and bump day. Don't know whether I'll just stay the week in between and wait for my dad to arrive with the camper or go back home and then back out again.
Maybe fast friday, for sure pole day, bump day, carb day, and race day!
