He's a car guy in addition to being a chef, but yuck on that choice.

I have never been one to get worked up over who the pace car driver is, but what a terrible choice! Yuck. At least Trump has some cache.

If it comes with a Food Network special about tailgating and parties around the 500, great.

The pace car driver is somewhere around #347 on my list of things to worry about.

Cool dude. Maybe he heads to Charlie Brown's and Mug-N-Bun to do his show and then uses HIS car as the Pace Car. IBiI

I usually would prefer someone I would not have to google to find out who he is but he seems to meet their goals.

There's going to be a very special pace lap appearance.

Can't say who, can't say what car.

Maybe they'll put a BBQ in the trunk of the Pace Car and he can cook up something tasty on the main straight just before the start!

Seriously, I really don't care who drives the Pace Car as long as they do a good job.

If they were going to tap from the Food Network, I would have preferred Giada.

Keep in mind that we're not the people they're trying to draw in.

As Grizzlor said, he's a car guy. Plus he has an outgoing, enthusiastic personality. He'll be telling everyone he comes across that he's driving the pace car. I'm okay with the choice.

I'm cool with it. Yeah, I would've liked Giada better, but Guy is ok.

while not a celebrity in the music/movies/hollywood realm, this is actually a decent choice. most people know him either by his name, look, show, etc.

there were better choices sure, but i still give it a B or a B+

    Ambivalence consumes me.
Still, it's somewhat sad that they have to pick a pacecar driver for the Indianapolis 500 based on what kind of publicity he/she would bring to the series or the race itself. The times they are a-changing.
