An equal balance of unknowns and wishes. There's little doubt Foyt and Schmidt/Hamilton would like to add second cars, engines would be their issue to be addressed only after they found sponsors to pay for them.

I don't see anyone adding teams/cars after Indy because of the schedule. Yes Honda and Chevy have extra engines for the 500 but they follow that with Detroit, Texas, Milwaukee and Iowa with no off weeks. If only three cars were to need new engines each week either of them would be using up any surplus they have post Indy and would have Ilmor rebuilding at a high rate to get that inventory back up for July and beyond.

Lotus of course is optimistic and committed to staying, like they would say otherwise? The two better hopes than them would be a new manufacturer showing up or INDYCAR finding a way to allow non badged engines.
