I'm trying to make sense of your post...not much luck...when he wins he generally goes through the usual litany of thanking sponsors and telling us how awesome the crew was and how well the car was...his venom is generally saved for non successful efforts...again, he follows the pattern of Foyt and Mario...no big surprise...he probably has no problem in cashing the big checks that fans help write...just a guess...these guys are not any different from other spoiled professional athletes...it's always somebody else who creates the problems...

Yeah, that's kinda silly. TS just won the Cup championship last year (again), so it's not like he's pulling things out of his tailpipe. He's earned the right to say what he says, and even in victory, he's publicly knocked the system. Not to mention, as on owner, he's more in tune to what's it's like to pay the bills on Monday morning. Unloading the transporter on Friday with brand news machines, then coming home Sunday night with two or more heaps of twisted metal isn't the best business model...especially when it's "expected" there's supposed to be a wreck.

They collectively wrecked over 100 race cars during Speedweeks at Daytona this year. They almost killed a guy Saturday with the Green-White-Wrecker, and Sunday was more of the same. Thankfully we're off to Darlington without anyone else hurt.

Well yeah, anyone's in a worse mood when thay lose than when they win.

Doesn't mean that what they say has less validity.

Read it a few more times & it might make sense... it's not rocket surgery. Seriously, do any drivers actually like the current form of plate racing? Heck, how many racefans actually do?

Heaven forbid drivers don't tow the company line & are without identity. It'd be pretty boring with 43 Plastic-Matt Kenseth's in the field... boring on & off the track, that is.

Tony is Tony. And you don't like that. And that is fine by me. But at least attempt to be honest about it instead of writing your typical cryptic comments, or whining about Foyt & Andretti. it's been a few years since either of those two raced at a competitive level.

And yeah, he does follow the pattern of absolute greatness behind the wheel that those two had.

Tony nailed it & it hit too close to home for Howard, that's why he's whining about it.

And pretty sure Tony didn't write the craptastic rules they are forced to compete under on the plate tracks... but I digress.

That damned Tony, creating problems where none exist.
He's obviously a NASCAR hater, who else would ever say anything that wasn't 100% supportive of them?
    He ought to be banned.
Maybe he's "A fan of the series", expressing "legitimate discussion"....naw, you say anything critical, you're a hater and should be ignored.
Everything is fine in NASCARland, it's the biggest, best, most infallible, wonderfullest thing ever in the history of the world and anyone who says otherwise is probably a godless Commie.

All you got to do is watch the promos on TV for Dega and Darlington to see what kind of product NASCAR is selling. It's carnage!

Ragan also has a Southern 500 trophy, which is, unfortunately one more than Tony has. That being said, I hope Tony gets his on Saturday.

I'm glad Tony Stewart spoke up about this. At some point I'm sure the drivers ask themselves, "Why do the drivers cheer when I crash?"

McClure's crash into the infield wall was terrifyingly violent. Similar to Danica Patrick's Daytona incident, the SAFER barrier likely prevented a serious or perhaps fatal injury.

I totally agree with the comments by MS...the crash sent fear through me. It is a mercy he was not badly injured.

Incorrect, thats Regan Smith you are thinking of. Underrated driver considering the ride he is in.

That might be the thing Sammy said was in her head that was not quite right..............the Daytona crash. Her odd behavior makes more sense now. It can make you do irrational stuff having your brain bashed against your cranium. Yes the safer did its job and are they still wearing the hans, or has it become optional in Nascar ?

I agree with that, IMO he has done well with that ride & has earned a shot with one of the top teams... sadly though that's not going to happen without help.

Totally refreshing every time Tony talks.

    Is it May yet ?

Scary though that they have exposed concrete wall just a few feet further down...(just past the crossover)....what are they thinking not having SAFER on that part too.

Instead, he's going to get a teammate, i.e. Kurt Busch.

I would expect that would be a good thing for that team to have two cars & KuBu behind the wheel of one of them - if it happens.

I just heard the audio on Cavin and Kevin. If Tony used that as an election speech he'd have my vote. He is one funny dude.

Surprised to not see a penalty for Stewart, yet Keselowski got fined for criticizing fuel injection? Amazing the inconsistency.

They really have indeed become the F1 of this generation, the politics and crookedness is so blatant, they dont even care if the fans know about it or see it. They simply do not care anymore. And they can get away with it because they have a fan base that mostly (not all of them) chooses to live in denial and will NOT call them out or hold it against them. Sad to see what this organization has become. Used to be great. I blame most of the fans just as much as Nascar for what its become.
