So is anyone going to watch Arie Jr on The Bachelorette tonight? I've never watched this show, but I will tune in a little via channel surfing through a commercial. Too bad it is on during House which only has two episodes left.

Nope.

Ok I'm not even sure what forum this belongs, but I see little Arie on The Bachelorette tonight and he's telling the world he's a race car driver. Is he still racing? What exactly is he doing these days?
He drives the two-seater I know. Not sure what other racing he's been doing.

I did watch it (hell, as gorgeous as Emily is, how could I not?), and Arie Jr. did survive the 1st night. They started with 25 guys and she dumped 6 of them the 1st night. Arie brought up the race driver thing right off the get-go, and was one of the 1st guys to get a rose at the rose ceremony.

GO DANICA!!!
There are a couple threads on the OT forum about Arie on the Bachelorette.
I'll be watching. Ever since they started casting a prior "participant/contestant" as the Bachelor or Bachelorette they suck me in on the first episode and then I'm hooked.
A local sports reporter said that Arie Jr. actually makes it pretty far. And I agree, Emily is absolutely gorgeous. I hope it all goes well for her this time around.
Are you kidding?
"The number of threads by one poster in the OT is getting a little out of hand, IMHO. "

Do the words 'Man Card' give you a hint?
I don't believe in that man card bullpoop, never have and never will. What each individual man likes is his damn business and nobody else's.

I only tuned in because Emily is a stone cold fox and I wanted to see if there would be any mention of Indycar or the Lights series. They did show a little clip of him racing.
And Emily is a smoking hottie.
My wife watches it... I'm joining her watching it this season because Emily is simply stunning.
So did Arie mention his last name or that he was a race car driver (part time)?
I remember what he looked like when he drove, boy they've really cleaned him up for the show...
Ain't engine competition grand?
He didn't mention his last name that I know of and he was really vague about the type of racing he was involved with. Just said he was a 'race car driver' and that was 'his passion'. Which is totally true since he took like 6 months off to go chase some tail on a reality show.
He was upfront and told her:
http://www.indystar.com/article/2012...dyStar.com%7CsLuyendyk said on the show he was concerned Maynard may not be interested in dating him because of his involvement in racing. Maynard's fiancé, NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, died in a plane crash in 2004 on the way to a race. He died before she gave birth to their daughter, Ricki, now 6.
"I love racing, being at the race track," Maynard told Luyendyk on the show aired Monday. "It's really the only sport I know."
In a later outtake, Maynard said, "I think maybe people would think that I'd be kind of scared off by that, but it's been a big part of my life and he'd be hot in a racecar."
Spoiler Alert: The link says how long he lasts so you may not want to click it if you don't want to know.
If you are watching this crap then it's God's way of telling you that it's time to take up a hobby... maybe you should take up building boats in your basement? Anything would be a better use of your time.
Congratulations to Arie Lyendyke Jr. for being one of the 25 bachelors chosen for the show "Bachlorette". Rick Hendrick's probable daughter-in-law (before the plan crash) is the beautiful woman to choose among the 25. The entrance of Arie showed him driving an Indy car; and last night he was chosen as one of the remaining 15 potential suitors. I know this isn't heavily race related, but I thought it was neat to have an Indy driver participating. And he looked handsome with his special hair cut and expensive suit. I hope you go all the way, Arie!
Does he have to like marry her if she choses him?
