    Question

Shows how not-with-it I am that that "plane ride" line went completely over my head. I don't know what makes Frank think a hobby somebody isn't interested in is a better use of somebody's time than a reality show featuring a gorgeous young woman. Sounds like a little false machismo working there.

Wow... I threw in a little dark humor but I didn't go out of my way to insult anyone personally. All I had said prior to that was "nope" when asked if putting Arie Jr. on the show was going to be enough to cause me to watch a show that if true to form will end up featuring this unmarried mother (who is so concerned about her daughter) laying down with half a dozen assorted men before you get to the ring ceremony. The DVD of this crap will be a great keepsake for that daughter to remember her "gorgeous" Mother's whoremongering ways.

Heck, I didn't even threaten to take man cards from any female posters... just not a big fan of TV shows that celebrate whoremongering. But to each his own if that's what floats the boat I hope you get your fill.

Lou Erding was a better racer than you and I'm glad he got it on with your wife.

Frank, they've only shown one episode so far so we don't even know if she slept with any of those guys yet. Somehow I doubt she'll use the Fantasy Suite quite as freely as most of her predecessors used it.

Yea, you're probably right... the Producers of the Bachelor/Bachelorette series have decided to turn their backs on what has given them their traditionaly high Neilsen ratings... What powers the ratings of all Reality programing from New Jersey table tossing to lies about Grandmothers passing away, the celebration of Bad Behavior in all it's forms. They have become envious of the numbers Indy Car racing has produced and their goal this season is to tick off their sponsors.

Your level of Naivety is almost refreshing.

However if I was compensating for a personal failing that only displays of false machismo could cure one would assume that I would be all over whoremongering.

Does it come with a hologram of Ricardo Montalban?

This season is different because they are filming the show in Emily's hometown Charlotte, N.C. so she can be with her 6 yr. old daughter. The previews also made it look like her daughter will be with her when they start traveling to different destinations. (In fact it's worth watching the show just to see the places they travel to)

I agree with Round Robin. I don't think we'll see much "whoremongering" out of Emily.

We stopped in for a second during commercials for "The Big Break" (that airs at the same time).

I just can't grasp the Bachelorette concept. Bachelor, I kinda get. Bunch of stupid chicks cat-fighting for some cheesedick like it's a prize....happens everyday. But for a bunch of dudes to be scrambling for some MILF....c'mon. Saw 5 mins where some trainer took her to some dinner where there was a horde of hausfrau's outside the restaraunt waiting for them to arrive, then leave - like complete moron simpletons. Then, some low level, Nashville-country (suck) band serenades them as the stand on some table outside the resturaunt above the horde. Just cheesy as hell.

It was just Idiocracy-level horseshit that only stupid chicks would dig. We bailed.

You might remember matt from the movie "The Money Pit". He played himself, as the first Shirk brother plumber.

Yeah, mattndallas is colorful. That’s what makes him better than “the contestants”, and I married him right before hanging out with these guys.

You're a intelligent chick that digs the Bachelorette? I love it how all chicks think they're smart.

I bet you think it's cool that this narcissistic chick prances her kid all over TV, basically using her, as she searches for a "Daddy replacement" on national TV. I bet you're hoping she finds true love this time, because after all, she's such a sweet, genuine girl, right?

You don't expose your kids to that type of stuff on national TV, especially a kid that is probably gonna be torn up about the fact she never met her real dad. If you have kids, you don't belong on this show. This show is for narcissistic, stupid chicks, that want to get their 15 mins, and bang out a coupel douchebags on TV and aren't embarassed about it. A chick that would actually expose her kid to this nonsense...TWICE...is a moron. That's brazen.

And those that actually defend her....laughable.

    But maybe that's just me.

And stop proving dudes can be just as way stupider as chicks

Hey man, my initial comments were about the "contestants" on this show, and a comment about the intellectual level of the general viewer. I'm 100% confident in both of those. Never mentioned Snow personally until she demanded the spotlight.

You mean in a thread where her gender was discussed prior to your comments?

I like Matt and his lovely wife. And they have expressed opinions with which I agree. It's not just the Bachelorette deal...the vast majority of television today has been dumbed down so much these days that it is not difficult to understand why this country lags behind most of the rest of the world in education.

    Yup.
Interesting to see the demographics of the viewers.

I really don't believe Matt would be one to trash-talk the Bachelorette unless he was an alum in good standing of the Bachelorette.

I personally find the comments expressed above to be extremely rude and condescending. Completely uncalled for and showing an element of childish whining. Hard to believe any woman would willing marry a person that has such sexist views of women. I find it rather sad, pathetic and narrow-minded view point that leads me to my own belief that a person like that has no merit.

Additionally, the only person "demanding the spotlight" posts up a picture of themselves that is completely irrelevant to the conversation of this thread.

Its unfortunate that the following thread was locked because several of the above posts would fit right in. http://www.trackforum.com/forums/sho...g&daysprune=14

And mods, since no names where mentioned and by your own admission above, this style of post is fully allowed and supported by management.
