Most short track fans will find this funny

Faster than a bullet from a gun
    He is faster than everyone
Quicker than the blinking of an eye
Like a flash you could miss him going by
No one knows quite how he does it but it's true they say
He's the master of going faster. -George Harrison

In college when we would go to the Fairgrounds Mall in Reading we always joked we would hit the lottery, tear it down and build a race track again. After going last month to see a movie and walk around that might not be too hard to do, half the mall is empty and half the stores that are there are cheap junk stores. If not for the movie theater and Boscov's it would be empty.

    Is it May yet ?

    The original thread is hilarious.

Big's reality isn't. It ain't just Cali, Big. It's everywhere. And it's why I am ready to get out of banking.

At our local enclosed shopping mall years ago we used to count the number of empty store sites there. It may be easier to count the number of store fronts that are occupied nowdays. There is a WalMart 2 miles North of the mall and another Walmart 3 miles to the South so along with the Great Recession it gives you some idea what they are up against.

So am I to look forward to the reopening of the Cincinnati Race Bowl sometime in the future?

It's always been a struggle with that Mall. I think even those who built it would probably agree that in hindsight the fairgrounds was more valuable to the city of Reading than the Mall ever will be. It was a horrible decision.

I basically live right across the street from it and I wish I'd be able to walk to the races on Friday nights.

"we'll use the synthetic dirt surface that Glen Donnelly has been working with up in New York"
Synthetic dirt? Oh no! Not synthetic dirt! We should ship them authentic Indiana clay/dirt composite since the jury is still out on the Hoosier DT3's safety and performance on synthetic dirt!
