    Homer the Blind Wondercat

Anyone else keep up with him on FB?

I started reading the book about him but just as I began our all black male named Customer, who was really the apple of my wife's eye, passed quite unexpectedly at age 5. The grief was too much and I never got back to the book. It has been about a year and a half since then and I'm thinking I may give the book a whirl again.
No man can cause more grief than that one clinging blindly to the vices of his ancestors. - William Faulker

I've heard about the book but I really can't read animal books or watch movies about animals. It seems they never have a happy ending and that's too much for me. I grieve for animals that aren't even mine.

This one, by all accounts, is quite a happy story. It's about a woman who adoped an all black kitten that had some type of disease that caused him to lose sight in both eyes. Homer is still alive and kicking but I couldn't handle it then.

My eyes are playing tricks on me. I thought for sure the thread title was "Homer the Blind Wildcat".
