A Slap In The Face And A Big One Finger Salute!

That is the message Honda just sent to Chevy today.

One, two, three on Chevy's home turf. GM headquarters glistening in the background and Honda stole the show.

How will Chevy respond in the coming events? Very embarrassing for the bow tie!

    I guess.

Of all the people who should be embarrassed today, I'd think GM is down the list a bit.

    Yep!
    Have a very blessed day!

Yeah, it looks like the changes they allowed have now made Honda the dominant engine. Before the 500 Chevy was kicking their a@@!

    Isn't it great

Rubbish. Of all the races, this one matters somewhere near the least. I'm not sure what it would take for Detroit to care about Indycar, but I'm sure it's a lot more than a "race" broadcast on ESPN News.

Nope. I'm pulling for Chevy and sooner or later, they'll kick Honda's a@@ again.

Detroit cares more than you think it does. A whole lot of fans today cheering on Chevy. Funy though, everyone called Penske and Chevy whiners although it seems to me that chip and Honda were the actual whiners in all of this's because they were getting their asses handed to them. They got what they wanted.

You guys are foolish to think this race didn't matter to GM! Absolutely foolish.

Yes, I'm sure they're all so distraught that they'll need to take some time off of work, go see their therapists maybe. Contemplate early retirement perhaps. The horror.

You are 100% correct. I work for gm's inner city rival and even I was rooting them on this season. This is pride baby! It's killing them that they've lost the 500 and their own race one after the other.

Ganassi has always been a whiner. Dario & Dixon are among the worst as far as whining as well.

    Hey Gonzo,
While it's true that Honda won the feature event on Sunday, the weekend was not exactly a complete loss for GM.

Pirelli World Challenge: Cadillac took 1st in GT, Camaro took 1st in GTS.
Chevrolet GRAND-AM Detroit 200: Corvette took 1st, 2nd and 4th in DP and Camaro took 1st and 3rd in GT.

And all of those cars at least look like GM vehicles you can buy.

Trivia: the engines in the WTCC Cruzes and the Nissan Delta Wing are the same.

From the Autoextremist article: "Mark Reuss, GM North America's president and the company's Chief Enthusiast is the man responsible for getting Chevrolet back into IndyCar, and for that he was promised that the Detroit Grand Prix at Belle Isle would be put back on the IndyCar schedule."
