    Here's the deal...

I fully expect them to have a little more on track action than what we saw this year. Flash back to 2011... There were seven races over the course of two days. I'm not suggesting that Andretti's group will get back to that quantity, but I think there's a good chance you will see more than Indy Lights. Looking back over the years, there almost always were a couple of support series racing at the track the same weekend open wheel. Whether it was USAC, Star Mazda or in some cases even a stock car series (ARCA, Hooters Pro Cup, etc...). I think the time table which they had to work with this year was too tight to make something happened with many of those series. With a full year to prep, I fully expect to see some additional on track action in 2013.

One last thing... In looking through some stuff today, I found the following from the 2001 Champ Car race:

The Milwaukee Mile celebrates the 100th running of a Champ Car race on "America's Legendary Oval" with special events throughout the entire Miller Lite 225 weekend, June 1-3, when CART makes its annual visit to the most historic speedway on the FedEx Championship Series circuit.

The soon-to-be-replaced, 1930s-era grandstand that has seen every Champ Car race held at The Milwaukee Mile, will host one of its most memorable race weekends as special off-track events complement the racing action. Those events include free concerts Saturday and Sunday, Monster Truck Rides and thrill shows by the Extreme Free-Style Motocross and BMX Mongoose/H.O.W. stunt team. Checkers, The Milwaukee Mile's new mascot, will greet fans throughout the weekend and the University of Wisconsin Marching Band will also be on hand to entertain the crowd.

Good reserved seat, race-day, tickets to the June 3 Miller Lite 225 are available for $46, $68 and $87. A three-day weekend pit and paddock pass is $65. Admission for Friday, June 1 practice is just $5, while Saturday practice and qualifying on June 2 is $10
In summary: The most expensive ticket in 2001 for the champ car race was $87 for seats in the old grandstand. The cheapest prices were $46 in 2001. Again, I ask you to please make you own conclusions about the pricing of tickets for 2013...
