New Sponsors for Fan Force United & Indy 500 veteran Bryan Clauson

As Fan Force United has jumped on the “BC Bandwagon” (that’s the “Bryan Clauson bandwagon” for those that don’t know), so too are folks jumping on the Fan Force United bandwagon, tapping into the fun, fan-first atmosphere that the team has cultivated. With Fan Force United preparing to head to the Hawkeye State, smack dab in the middle of the American heartland, it is with great excitement that we announce what most would consider to be an entirely appropriate roster of new and returning sponsors for the Iowa round of the 2012 Indy Lights series.

The first of the returning associate sponsors is Genuity®, which will be featuring their SmartStax® RIB Complete™ corn blend product at the Iowa Sukup 100. With Genuity® SmartStax® RIB Complete™ corn blend, a corn farmer can plant the most traited acres fence row to fence row. It's refuge made easy. Just pull the tab, open the bag, and that's it. Genuity marks a return to its support of the Fan Force United #24, after a successful venture with the team around the 2008 Firestone Indy Lights Series in Iowa.

Next up is AgriGold, producers and marketers of “The AgriGold GIANTS”, a line of high yielding, agronomically sound seed corn hybrids sold to farmers throughout corn country. Though AgriGold has been an associate sponsor on the #24 Fan Force United machine since its inception, they have a special fondness for the Iowa event. AgriGold brings to the corn grower a complete package of seed corn products, agronomic advice and personal service from the 130 company employed AgriGold Corn Specialists and Agronomists located across the corn belt. AGRIGOLD KNOWS CORN and they know that the Indy Lights competition in Iowa is going to have their hands full with FFU and Bryan Clauson, as they pursue a GIANT performance and a podium finish.

Finally, Fan Force United is pleased to introduce Ag Marketing Partners. Ag Marketing Partners LLC is a full service commodity brokerage / risk management service, serving growers throughout the grain belt. By utilizing sound risk management, good planning, and proactive marketing, growers can consistently achieve higher-than-average commodity prices. Ag Marketing Partners utilizes a wide variety of marketing tools to assist their clients. Whether they need a little help, or a lot; AMP can customize a program to suit the grower’s needs! AMP signs on with Fan Force United for the first time, looking forward to all the action at The Iowa Speedway on June 23rd.

Scott Williamson, one of the principals of Fan Force United, is the mover and shaker behind these three sponsors. Scott is eager to welcome and re-welcome them to the fold, to maximize their investment, and to show them what Fan Force United can do for them and with their support. Scott is quick to talk about what these new partners mean to the team, saying “It’s great to be able to see Genuity get back on board with the team, and it’s really satisfying to see past sponsors return. Besides confirming our belief that Fan Force United represents a worthwhile investment, it lets us know that they saw value in their previous involvement with the team, and want to revisit that successful relationship to accomplish their goals.”

Scott continued, confirming that “Agrigold has been a solid partner from the beginning, and it’s been a privilege to work with them. It’s fun to see the way they use and activate their sponsorship, and it’s nice to know that they see continued value in working with the team. Obviously it is a natural pairing with Ag Marketing Partners. Getting AMP to join with us has been a goal of mine for a while, and the Agrigold relationship has been instrumental in making that happen, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how they respond to the events of this weekend. I’m looking forward to helping them use this opportunity to see what we can do for them and to learn about all of the benefits that can come their way as a result of their sponsorship. Hopefully, with such great people supporting us, and to borrow a phrase from BC, we’ll be able to ‘park it right down in the circle’ this weekend.”

I briefly spoke with Scott at Indy was very impressed. Great guy. Nice of him to talk to a random fan, like me. Let them develop their performance and they will be a great investment for sponsors. If they are ever hiring ...

rappel - Scott's a pretty down-to-earth guy, just like Chris and Tyce

milliesdad - tyce hurt his arm and had some surgery. if road america is on the schedule, then i suppose there is a likelihood that the team will be there

irlracingfan - hopefully. i don't think Bryan is interested in doing any road courses at the Lights level just yet, so it's a good thing there's another oval on the schedule. we'll see

TDIndy500 - we expect to hear and feel those cheers. we'll be in action on Friday AND Saturday. got any cowbells?

DrivenCrazy - thanks! sounds like a plan

AFColt - appreciate that, and here's hoping...

I like Bryan and want him to succeed. That being said, PLEASE get this guy racing on Road Courses. he needs the experience if he's EVER going to be a success at the next level. Nothing would hurt the series more than to have a guy win at indy who basically refuses to race at iconic tracks like Long Beach, Toronto, Road America, etc. It really hurts the series a lot to have drivers still doing this. Indycar is, and always should be, about drivers who can win at every track every week regardless of the type of track. To be that driver, Clauson needs to start running the road courses. It'e really that simple.

    point taken and understood.

last week, during the IndyCar weekly conference call, Bryan was asked about running road courses. he responded to the questioner by letting him know that he has done road racing schools, and that if he was to begin doing road courses, that he would need to starting doing them at the Star Mazda level, as if he attempted them at the Lights level, at present, he would get completely schooled by the guys there, like Saavedra and Guerrieri.

of course, that would not be unlike those guys hopping in a midget and attempting to compete against Bryan at Bloomington Speedway. given time, they could be competitive, but clearly not right away.

the problem with that is that Bryan makes a good living racing 90 to 100 times a year. in fact, it is his success in USAC that led to him receiving the scholarship dollars that allowed him to race last season in Indy Lights and this year in the Indy 500 (which led to him being hired for these races by Fan Force United).

of course, the vast majority of Star Mazda (and Lights) drivers are self-funded, attempting to climb the ladder in support series, which is fine and necessary. Bryan gets paid to race at the top level of front-engined American open wheel racing, and most of the time, he is racing in front of people who are paying to come out and see him race. it's quite the catch-22. naturally, if the budget can be put in place that will allow Bryan to begin his road course racing development in earnest, while also allowing him to continue racing for the paying customers that want to see him race, all while he is doing oval racing in Indy Lights and IndyCar, then you'll see Bryan doing that very thing. FFU would love to be a part of making that happen.

Any chance we will see an FFU car in any more IndyCar Series events this year? I DO know that Lotus would like to have another car on the grid and that Pippa Mann has SOME funding... could this pairing work for FFU?
