    Iowa heat races...who's going?

    <cough> <cough> Don't think I'm going to be able to make it into work this Friday...heard there's a pretty good walk-in clinic in Newton that has the cure for what ails me.

    Anyone else coming down with the same bug?

    The race ticket will allow you to do a fan walk on Friday and Saturday. The Pit/Garage Credential‏ as the usher told me last year told me was rock star status!!!

    High for Friday is mid 80's with a nice southern breeze. Cool off later that night to the 70's

    I am going with 4 others, as far as a pit/garage pass goes.

    If you have never been in the pits, you are in for a treat up front and center with the drivers/teams etc.. You can watch tech, interviews and watch what goes on in their area, you may see any of the drivers walking around. Friends may buy pit passes at the speedway ticket office. a pit pass usually ends about a hour before the race. Congratulations to those that won!

    I'm still trying to find a group to ride over with for the race. I can't get off work until Friday lunchtime. Not sure if I'll make it, but definitely not to the heats, sadly.
