    Just curious

I joined the board recently and was wondering why there is a 'Champ Car & Atlantics' forum if it is locked and no posts there for almost a year and a half? Not that I want to post. It just seems there's no purpose to it being there. I followed that series once, but those days are long gone.
    Faster,faster,faster,faster, faster.........oh &%@*, too fast.

Stick around. It gets better than that. Topics that are pertinent to the IndyCar series like "Speed Matters" get moved to limbo while "Who Has The Hottest Wife" stays and is somehow important to the survival of the series. Up is down. Left is right. Ying is yang. Get used to it. Ernest

Yeah, but usually the door isn't locked when you get there.

If it were me I'd just archive that puppy and be done with it. Unless you're going to start a history forum.

You can go in and read prior threads if you really want. Just change the "display thread options" to "last year" or "beginning".

You just can't add any posts.

Yep, I'm aware of that. I wasn't interested in reading any of the old posts, just wondered why it was still there.

I think nobody wants to expend the energy to make a decision and ding something that really isn't bothering anybody. I mean, if they blew it away you know eventually somebody would complain, and since there's not harm in leaving it, even that minor annoyance means in lingers on, like the fallout shelter signs on old schools and town halls.

It's kept for reference. It's closed to reduce maintenance needs.

We can now add a secondary reason: it bothers Ernest.

One of the great things about this forum is that the moderators are quick to give credit where credit is due.

Do you think there are IndyCar racing posts on these skin flick sites where people find some of these photos? You should be moving those posts out of the Indy forum since they have zero to do with the series and its fight for survival. If pretty faces mattered, Danica Patrick would be relevant but she isn't. Since when do photos of Bronte Tagliani, Emma Dixon, and Kara Lazier originate from skin-flick sites?

Sorry Ernest but that's one of the dumbest arguments you've ever made.

Keep up the good fight though, maybe one day we can finally go backwards and get these women covered in bed-sheets from head to toe. Will keep them from getting sunburned too.

Up until I read this, I was of the opinion the forum should be hidden, but the always-wise DIA give a great reason why that's a bad idea.

Apparently you've never heard of the "Naked Cowboy". He's been around for years and he's harmless.

Damn Ernest you sure don't know much about this kind of stuff (I mean life) do you?

No, I don't know about naked cowboys. And why should I or want to at a racing forum? Ernest

Well, the women sure love him. That's got to make a few guys insecure.

According to the naked cowboy, about 1000 women per day grope his ass, so he probably doesn't care what we think.

Intervier: "Can I touch your ass?"
    Naked Cowboy: "I insist."

    I'm the naked cowboy
You gotta do what you gotta do.

    I'm the naked cowboy
    Keepin' it real for you.

Of all the goofey things to get eggrieved about, this one is, uhhhh, really goofey. First, the guy is never really naked, and since he performs all the time in NYC, it must not be a crime. Mostly he parades around and gives the girls a little something to get all tingley about, which is great for us when they come home.

If you like girls, that is. I suppose some guys get all tingley over the naked cowboy too, especially the ones who protest too much, but most of us simply don't care. You see a lot worse that this almost every single time you turn on broadcast TV.

Now, if the guy was out there swinging his tallywhacker back and forth, up and down in public, that would be something different, but he is not. He is simply a street performer, and not worth geting all bent out of shape over. He's just having a little fun, and spreading a little fun, so it's simply not worth getting so upset over.

Ok, now it's getting a little weird............
