Tripe, Ox tail, Blood sausage, etc.

Anyone ever tried this stuff? Can it be obtained in middle-America? I'd kind of like to give it a shot but am somewhat wary.

You should be able to get Ox Tail.
The reality is the numbers are dropping yet you call the deal 'ahead of its time'. The only end result that can be drerived from that is the series will be broke 'ahead of its time'.

If not, try Scrapple. It's got a bit of everything in it.

I would recommend livermush and liver pudding, closely related but quite distinct North Carolina delicacies.

I just can't bring myself to eat organ meat. I say offal is awful.

IIRC, blood sausage was served with our breakfast in England. I'll try anything once, but didn't really care for it, nor did I have the time to develop a taste for it. My wife liked it straight away.
