Regardless of my age I am as patient as I always was
I'm in my 20s and I am more patient
I'm in my 20s and I am less patient

Don't signal, weave into your lane, tailgate, cross three lanes without signaling. The list goes on and on. In the day, citations and not warnings would be given. Miss those days. Unfortunately the bad drivers take back roads and shortcuts and drive worse with their collective head up their arses.
Apparently, I'm only more patient until aggravated by these inattentive morons on the road. Running errands today...came up on an intersection, red light, about 5th car back. Light turns green, lane to my left clears, the first three cars in my lane take off smartly, but the doof ahead of me is "moving" at 15 mph. All I want is to get through the intersection, I need to stop at the CVS on the other side. He's still barely moving so I swerve left and floor it...that's a surprise, the first time I've done that since I got the new Genesis, haven't driven a rear wheel drive car on slick streets in some time. Back end breaks loose, I back off and accelerate around the doof...who's ON THE PHONE! He never even appears to take note of me.
All the unlicensed and poorly licensed drivers make it a real adventure around here. When my now stepdaughter was getting her license I was aghast at what passed for adequate instruction prior to getting a license. Add the electronic distractions of phones and texting and you have a very toxic mix.
I always get a chuckle when I see a $100,000 motorhome parked in a Hotel parking lot.
Heres a good one that just happened tonight. Coming home from the races. About 1:15am. 4 lane road with a common turn lane in the middle. County Sheriff comes up probably doing 80mph. Lights and sirens. Then another. Then a third. So obviously something not good is going on somewhere
Of course the car in front of me and I stay in the right lane so the Sheriffs can blow by without slowing down.
Would you believe one dummy wouldnt pull over so the Sheriffs had to move over into the turn lane to get around them?
I really wanted to catch up to them just to flip them off. But at that hour in that part of town it probably wouldnt have been a good idea
Faster than a bullet from a gun
He is faster than everyone
Quicker than the blinking of an eye
Like a flash you could miss him going by
No one knows quite how he does it but it's true they say
He's the master of going faster. -George Harrison
I always move up for those behind me who are wanting to go right on red...unless they fail to put forth the effort to flip their turn signal on. So many times I've seen the guy behind me turn right as I drive away and thought, "hey, you could have done that two minutes ago if you had bothered to signal your intention to turn!"
I'm in no way trying to be sexist here but women driving in UAV's on cell phones have to be the worst. I have no idea how many times on a 2 lane back road or highway I've had to pull over onto the shoulder, or weeds, to avoid a head on crash. Many of them even let their dogs ride on their laps.
I am still rather impatient when doing local driving, (stop lights, phone talkers, etc.) but have learned to accept the sheer idiocy some poeple display while driving 80 mph and above on the interstates.
"am I a more patient driver than I was 10 years ago?"
Hell no.....I've got cell phone calls coming in, not to mention text messages I have to read and reply to, eat my Hardees Monster Burger while all the time watchin my GPS so that I don't get friggin' lost.
PATIENT? yea, right.....gotta go. have an incoming Tweet!
I control my road rage much better than I used too.
But there still entirely too many stupid people driving today and they always seem to be in my way.![]()
After years of fighting and a split, guess what, we are all IndyCar
October will always be a sad racing month for me. RIP Greg and Dan. You both were great and we miss you.
