Pruett's Take on Toronto. Great Article!

Says it should be called "Toronto When The S-- Hits the Fan Grand Prix" I love the bit about Turn 3 being the Bermuda Triangle of racing where talent and common sense mysteriously erode. Great read.

And this is the reason that I bought tickets for Turn 3 and just landed in Toronto. It shall be a good weekend, indeed.

Ugh. C'mon Lotus. Couldn't even get the Mid-Season update done in time for the test they had specifically set up for it. Why am I not surprised?

Anybody remember Rahal's experience with Honda when they re-entered IndyCar?

I don't understand the Honda team that is stated may take a 10 grid penalty to switch to the engine that debuted at Indy. Were the teams not all given the new engine at Indy? Are we really back to a "Honda factory team" mentality?

And if that team is Foyt ALOT of people that were saying the team sucks will have to rethink that! Why in the world is a team not currently using the engine that was updated for Indy? Iowa, Milwaukee, Belle Isle, Texas....even if a team didn't get the new engine for Indy (which makes no sense) then why wouldn't it have happened by now?

I believe all the Honda teams were given the new engine for the 500. But most if not all had not used up all the miles on the engines they used prior to May or during practice and qualifying for the 500. So they had to go back to the older engines to finish using them to their mileage limit before they could start using the new generation engines. The new generation engines they begin putting in now should have the 500+ miles from Carb day and the 500 on them. It's not about favored teams it's about staying within the framework of the INDYCAR rules and teams NOT being allowed to roll out fresh engines before running through the cycle with the old ones.

I follow, I guess, but there have been 4 races since then. Just seems the math doesn't make sense

You won't see nearly the issues in turn 3 that we have in the past now that the stupid Barnhart rule has been changed.
"Try some of these before or after your statements if you are not presenting them as facts. Things like - "In my opinion", or "I think that", JHMO, IMHO, IMO, JMO... Your opinions are not (necessarily) fact. That would clear things up some." - Seadog 03/25/2010 11:40am So the above is JMO.

Yeah, but the Toronto pit lane is the same & Marco is still in the series!
