    Turkey Burgers

Someone was craving burgers Saturday night but I had to put my foot down on more red meat after that braised brisket.

So we compromised and tried turkey burgers for the first time. I have to say it was one tasty burger!

The recipe called for rosemary, sage and thyme and they had tons of flavor. I will no longer turn my nose up to turkey burgers.

    No - just no.

The wife does turkey everything if she even eats meat.

    No!
The reality is the numbers are dropping yet you call the deal 'ahead of its time'. The only end result that can be drerived from that is the series will be broke 'ahead of its time'.

I was skeptical, but they were really tasty.

There were softened, chopped red onion and garlic inside the patties. Also a tablespoon of olive oil to 1 pound of meat. They were tasty and moist.

So from a die-hard, don't mess with my burger guy, I would whole-heartedly give two thumbs up to the recipe we did.

Never tried it. My reasoning: if I want burgers I want top quality ground beef. No fillers, no meatloaf on the grill, just seared pure 100% beef. Or maybe bison. Turkeys are meant to be roasted of fried.

You sir have never grilled a turkey then. Go do that, then come back here and tell me what you have learned. I'll give you a head start: brine overnight, then applewood for smoke.

You seen the other stuff we've grilled, so I hope we have some grill-cred. They were a really tasty diversion since we had just gobbled up that beef brisket. didn't want to OD on beef.

Will it make it any less painful if I add that for an appetizer we made deep fried green beans in a beer batter and dipped them in a Garlic Aioli?

I have grilled a turkey breast not the whole turkey, and your grill-cred is fine by me. Just like chicken sausage doesn't appeal to me, neither do turkey burgers. You can invite me over any other time though!

Those were AWESOME! We should do those more often. Need to go check the garden for more.

Whole turkey on the grill is the only way we do it now. I have a huge tuperware container that can hold a whole turkey so I can brine it over night. Fits right into the beer frig.

If we invite you over, we'll make turkey burgers just so you can experience how tasty they can be.

If you're watching your health they are not so healthy.....look at the cholesterol, you'd do better with beef, much better with bison......the way they get the taste is to put tons of the skin in the mix, which is where much of the cholesterol is.....I was hoping they would be a healthy alternative till I read the label, so I do bison.....but if you don't have any health issues ignore this.

The correct response should have been:

    Now that madam is outstanding.
