    Geography enters the equaiton too.

mdkiel sorta is from where Im from so he may understand where Im coming from when it comes to unflattering/insulting conversation among pals

Its a eat or be eaten in that region- Work hard/play hard and all that.

My wife is not from NJ and she was coming home from work in tears when we first moved there. SHe didnt understand why everyone was so mean to her.

I told her they werent being mean to her.

I said she was being tested and needed to grow some teeth and bite back.

She eventually learned that living in NJ is not like living Albuquerque or Spokane or Cheyenne and wound up loving that office staff once she figured it all out

Mother jokes were also a nightly occurrence back in the day but the first time I made a joke about my Spanish buddies mom in New Mexico he was ready to turn out my lights.

    He didnt get it.

But ripping your buddies mom was expected and allowed in NJ.

Im thinking this was all a big misunderstanding.

A couple posts will be delelted and Im willing to forgive and forget

See, you have so much more life experience from living in so many exotic places.

I have many times and love the place. I have practiced one of my hobbies there many times.
Railfanning! I have taken lots of pictures of trains there over the years!

Not a place most people would call exotic however.

That's the beauty of Wyoming in general, sir. It is definitively NOT "exotic." And in general, they LIKE it that way.

(My favorite aunt and uncle growing up were from Wyoming, by way of southern and northern Indiana respectively. Both worked for the University of Wyoming in Laramie, she as an administrator, he as a professor. There is a definite ethos to the place and its people you will find nowhere else.)

Lived there a couple years, enjoyed it... Waking up to Caribou in your backyard, Ring EMT during Frontier Days and driving to Fort Collins and Greeley Colorado to party because you didn't own the prerequisite Cowboy Hat that allowed one to venture seamlessly through the Cheyenne Nightlife. I enjoyed it...

Well I enjoyed Fort Collins and Greeley for their Co-eds.

I dunno. You'll have to ask someone who doesn't like airplanes or Brazilian hotties in Spandex.

Are there such a thing as girly-men? What defines a girly-man? Are there manly-women? What defines a manly-woman? Are both deserving of praise or insults?

I cook, wash and dry clothes, and do other chores so my Wife does'nt have so much to do.

Call me what you want. When I lived by myself, Mommy wasn't here to do those things for me.

    Yeah...I guess I am.
