I'll be flying in Friday afternoon. Not sure yet on my transportation situation, but I'll be there, hell or high water. Really looking forward to covering the event!

Just remember all, to come by my motorhome and say hi, You can't miss it, first motorhome by pit entrance. It will have a lifesized mural of an IndyCar on the side with IndyCar flags up high.

Oh yeah, did I mention FREE BEER!!!! I actually have a beer sponsor this year, bwahahahaha!

Zach, I told Dean to make sure you have media cred's. I think there is going to be free wifi all over the track, but just in case. Besides, it means free grub. Octane bring in their media center from the F1 race and it is about the best portable media center you can find,

I have always wanted to visit Edmonton.

I'm beginning to think I will never get to see Edmonton live. Aside from spending 2 days in Montreal in 2008 I haven't been to the U.S. or on vacation since 1998. I don't have a passport either nor the income. It's fixed and been that way unable to work consistently for awhile now.

Even if I got there with no credit-card I couldn't get a room and as of right now haven't the cash for tickets or transportation. I'm looking to do Edmonton or another Canadian race for 2015 if we lose Toronto because of those damn PAN AM Games that nobody in Toronto gives a snap about. Wish we didn't have them if they affect the Indy. We're supposed to host near Exhibition Place. I hope you all have a great time as this looks to be a great one on TV at least on paper. Would be nice to see if Hunter-Reay can go 4 for 4 but I suspect Hinch, Pagenaud, Power or one of the Ganassi cars stand a higher shot. I want to see Power win the championship. Always a bridesmaid never a bride. I live in Toronto if that matters.

Weather forecast looks good. Could have showers on race day.

will be there for fri and sat...havent decided on race day. spent some of the discretionary car watchi'ng funds on the recent rocky mountain nats.

Some possible good news on the future of the track which everybody says sucks and is rinky dink.

time frame seems pretty far out

    http://www.edmontonjournal.com/news/...726/story.html

''Mandel also wondered why the community was expected to be developed over 25 to 30 years when only 200 of the 600 acres — with 40 per cent preserved for parks and 50 acres to be used for NAIT expansion — is expected to be housing and commercial development.'''

''Only Coun. Linda Sloan voted not to accept for information the airport’s master plan.
“We also have an obligation to keep the spending of the city under control, to make prudent investments where it’s needed,” Sloan said. “And quite frankly when we can’t complete communities and we can’t build fire halls … I think we have our priorities somewhat a bit off target and I think we need to start to get back to basics.”
She called the airport development a “discretionary” project.
“We really have to consider if this is more pie in the sky than it is reality.”"'

looks to be a little wet
