Greased pig contest replace TQ midgets at Bartholomew County Fair.

A greased pig contest has replaced the three-quarter midget car race as the Grandstand entertainment Friday night at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair.

The contest will be at 7 p.m. at the Grandstand. The contest costs $15 for a three-person team to participate, $10 to be in the pit area and $1 to sit in the stands.

First I'd heard. I wonder which TQ group was scheduled. Will have to look that up.

Can't remember the last time there was no racing at the local fair.

Oh well. I plan to be at Gas City anyhow.

Wanna know what's wrong with NASCAR? They've gone from Junior Johnson to Jimmie Johnson.

Wanna know what's wrong with IndyCar? It's gone from dirt ovals to street races.

You can bet that they're non-winged in Indiana.

Dang, I was gonna go. Grew up across from the fairgrounds. Lived up there during fair week. Remember the early 60s, with Bobby Black and Butch Wilkerson running TQs there, weekly.
