The p2p for edmonton will be available for an additional 20 seconds. Should make for some interesting action on the track.

Lacking a visual cue to alert the Toronto audience as to when a driver was using "the button," Phillips says the next step for the series is to add P-t-P data to each broadcast.
"That's what we're working on at the moment," he confirmed. "I'd like to see those parameters--the total time each driver has remaining, and maybe down the road, the status of the button, if there's a delay in the application of power--and perhaps other items from telemetry translated to those who are watching our races."
Glowing cars when the button is pressed
I can't stand this thing. If the racing is good (and it has been!) we don't need to play down to the lowest common denominator amongst us! If they don't like the racing, seeing "72 seconds remaining" blinking on each car isn't going to make someone sit up and notice. Just give them more power and get out of the way!
"I think there's only so many people that can take care of themselves, and can take care of other people. And the rest of the people … they're useful in terms of compost for the whole planet, you know." - Bill Murray

When I read this part it made me laugh. They had this set up in "that other series " in 2004. He might want to talk to the guys from Cosworth.

The push-to-pass option was an immediate hit. Introduced at the opening race of the '04 season in Long Beach, P2P made its presence felt on the first lap when third qualifier Paul Tracy blasted past the front row of Sebastien Bourdais and Bruno Junqueira at the green to position himself to lead by Turn One.
As originally configured, the push-to-pass function is linked to the car's tail-light, which flashes when the p2p is engaged. Thus one driver following another knows when the driver ahead has their thumb on the steering wheel-mounted P2P button. But the lead driver in a group can also be notified when a following competitor hits the button, thanks to two-way radio communications and a pit crew watching tail lights or the pit lane monitors that register the push-to-pass usage in real time.
how much hp does the extra 1.5 psi equal?
I'd prefer it NOT to be a focal point during broadcasts. Same with KERS in F1. DRS, you have to notice it when it happens (and admittedly, it looks kinda cool). But last year all I saw was "oh, he's on the button" "he's on the button" "he's using the button to defend". Stop it please.
