LIDS Canada and Response Time For Indycar Items Ordered.

As most of you know LIDS is the company producing all the driver T-Shirts and crew shirts this year. They run a Canadian branch and the IZOD IndyCar online store in the U.S. Anyone in Canada ever order anything from them? If you have how was the response time?

I have an order for 3 shirts out. What I want more than anything is a Dixon crew shirt I didn't have cash for in Toronto. I wanted the gauge the response time as I don't know anyone headed to Edmonton before I ordered it.

I've ordered a lot of stuff from them. What is nice is the fact there is no shipping charges if you get them to ship to a LIDS store in your town, if you have one. It took about 10 days for that, but you can get faster shipping if you pay for it.

Overall, much easier for us Canucks to get IndyCar swag without having to mortgage your home for shipping charges.

Plus, many of the LIDS stores do embroidery as well, so you can get your twitter handle or other stuff put on a hat.

Great to know. I figured it would take longer considering lack of popularity. Then again, they probably have the material its made from and a template and do it like that with printing.

I ordered aDDR lotus cap and a DDR Lotus shirt at the start of May and it took over 5 weeks to get my stuff delivered to a Lidz store and when it did arrive, the shirt was backordered and never got it ( didn't get charged for it) I wasn't too impressed.

No doubt the reason it took so long and one shirt didn't arrive was due to the engine change. Perhaps, LIDS who do licensed team apparel were told to stop filling orders with DDR Lotus logos on it. If I knew someone going to Edmonton that I trusted I'd have them grab me what I want. I'm hoping my T-shirts (Pagenaud, Castroneves, Indy 500) arrive on time. Once they do I'll know whether to order the Dixon and Franchitti crew shirts. I'm more in need of Dixon than any other.

That's crazy stuff. You Canucks should ask a local to walkin, buy something, and overnight it. Season will be over by the time you get your stuff!

Wait... we can get stuff shipped to a Lids store for free? I may actually buy some stuff then.

I wouldn't buy the merchandice at the race because I felt their markup from USD prices was obscene.

Don't think they have any in Ottawa, but I could get some stuff shipped to one in Toronto, or to the UPS Store in Ogdensberg and go pick it up...

They don't have the Hinch crew shirts online anyways though...

They will ship to any Lids store for free. The crew shirts in the U.S. were $64.00 In Canada at the track they were $81.99.

I'm taking kids to a movie here shortly, I'll stop by the track and see if there is a Dixon crew shirt in stock. I am a lids Club member....I think that drops the shirt price from $64 USD to $58 or so, plus our sales tax.
