    Why God, WHY?!

After seeing the Baltimore VIP packages, I want someone to punch me in the face.

Because I didn't get to go to a single race last year, I made sure to make my plans for Baltimore as soon as the race was confirmed. So far, I've spent $1250 on 3 days at the Sheraton Inner Harbor, 3-day paddock passes, and grandstand seats for Sunday.

Had I waited until today, I could have spent $300 more and received:

3 days at the Marriott instead of the Sheraton
Grandstand seats for all 3 days
    Two hot lap rides
Access to INDYCAR Paddock Club for Saturday & Sunday (meals provided)
Two race weekend souvenir packages with autographed driver hero cards
Meet-n-greet with an IZOD IndyCar Series driver(s)
    Two Pre-Race access credentials
Two spots in garage tour hosted by a driver

    I feel so very stupid.

This is exactly the issue I have with Indy Nation. It seems like all their promos/experiences etc are announced way too late after I already have purchased everything (trying to plan ahead as you never know whats going to be offered). I cant tell you how many times I have bought tickets/passes etc only to be burned later when they offer something. They really need to have all promos/packages etc in place BEFORE the season starts so that we can get the best deals.
I'm gonna wiggle it at 'em, you cheap b@st@rd. Be prepared, because when I yank it out, everybody in that audience except my wife is gonna be runnin' for the exits.

The week before Indy opened for practice - they announced a $30 dollar discount - would have almost paid the cost of membership - I bought my badge in March - do they plan ahead? Some of us do.

I rarely come to this sub-forum because I'm not a member of IndyCar Nation but the thread title caught my eye. I pointed out the thread to my Husband and he sent a link to Randy. This is the email response he received from Liz Markle. At least they are aware and hope to do better in the future.

Good morning, ****! Randy forwarded me your email below…thank you for passing along the link. We totally agree that the packages and offers need to be posted sooner. While sometimes it is out of our control (the promoter may like to wait and see what can be offered from a discount standpoint), we hope to get ahead of the game more often than not. Definitely an area we’d like to improve upon for 2013.

Thanks for the feedback and for being a supporter of INDYCAR!

When I mentioned Barber, the added response was

We hope to have all of the packages posted by December.

Anytime I have had dealings with IndyCar personnel or IMS personnel, it has ALWAYS been positive.

The title of this thread is quite appropriate today I think.
