RoboPong 2012 - Largest Purse Ever - $10k to win

The RoboPong 200 - one of the most highly anticipated events of the season - moved up to another level with the announcement of the 2012 plans for the October 13-14 event at the popular New Castle Motorsports Park. The rigorous 200 lap event around the 1-mile facility in New Castle, Indiana will feature a minimum of $20,000 race purse with a record-high $10k schedule to be paid to the winning team along with their names etched on the Dan Wheldon Cup. Added to the 2012 event for the first time will be events for the Yamaha Junior and Yamaha Sportsman categories - each fighting for a $5,000 check to the winner.

Information on the Yamaha Sportsman and Yamaha Junior event:

NCMP will be hosting a $5000 to win Yamaha Junior Sportsman and Yamaha Junior race during the Robopong 200 weekend on October 13th and 14th with optional practice available on Friday October 12th.

Track configuration is the National Track layout. Both classes will qualify on Saturday and run a 15 lap prefinal. Both classes will race a 30 lap final on Sunday morning before the start of the Robopong 200. One driver, no pitstops.

I think we'll be fairly competitive but if we're lucky enough to win the race I'm going to straight to the Speedway in Knightstown afterwards and buying a lottery ticket.
