    Old Die Cast questions

I recently received two 1/24 racing champion die casts.

They are the #31 Al Unser Jr cars. They appear to be the same model.

However, one car has the 1994 schedule on the box and the other the 1995 schedule.

I figure the 1994 was made before the Indy 500 and the 1995 was made after the season, but did not have licensing to put Indy 500 champion. I thought Unser ran #1 for 1995.

    Am I far off?

There was usually a "Series 1" and "Series 2" with those cars. I can't recall the term they used exactly, and I don't have any of mine in front of me.

One came out early season, the other later on.

Thanks for the input. Thats what I thought. Would the demand increase after winning the 500 that series 1 sold out?

Is the Buddy Rice 2004 the first 1/18 or 1/24 labeled as Indy 500 champion?

    Thanks

Gotta be honest with you, I don't think demand is high at all for those 1:24's. I got most of my collection recently on eBay for less than $10 a car. Even the popular ones like Penskes, Mansell, etc.
