Natural Born Cynic
What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...
Hard to imagine there isn't one since metal can't fatigue. It's impossible to know whether or not it is an advantage, at this point, as there is no reference point.

Gets upon my hors n'oeuvres
He was definitely fatigued. Looked like all the emotion left him a little spent. He was about 3 seconds off the time he thought he might be able to do.
By simple cadence, if he's taking 2 steps to everyone else's 3 he's got a mechanical advantage. In time rebound of the the prosthetics, as well as camber (via compound changes to rebound slightly differently on the inside leg) for the turns and added traction for differing track surfaces as well as changes in the shape of the equipment to work differently on the short thrust out of the box and adjust for the long strides of the race......it's in it's infancy now, but it can be made into an amazing science......when the times for the same event in the Paralympic Games exceed those of the Games then you know technology has passed flesh and blood by.
