He isnt in Barrichello's league and he see's what happening to him in Indycar, dont think Nick wants to add more season's of open wheel underachieving to his resume. As for F1 names people have mentioned as possibilities if that, Massa & Sutil. I think Massa would do even worse than Rubens. Sutil who I always thought was an underrated F1 driver, I think could be successful in Indycar.
Also I have my doubts an F1 team will ever give this guy a chance again, I would like to see an IndyCar team bring him in.........Robert Kubica, who IMO if his incident didnt happen was on the road to possibly becoming an F1 world champion as Ferrari were very interested in him. I thought for awhile that Kubica was easily F1s most overlooked and underrated talent. The man has tremendous skills behind the wheel and I dont know if he can drive competitively again, im just saying with his talent, he deserves the opportunity to atleast find out and I dont think he will get it in F1, therefore I would love to see him in Indycar. Thats if he gets past his recovery and given that is a big question mark. Just throwing it out there.
My words may not be what you want to hear.....but what you need to hear. TF CHALLENGE: CONVINCE 1 NEW PERSON TO WATCH INDY NEXT SUNDAY
Sutil is definitely a good person for Indy if he can't get a ride in F1, I can't see Kubica going to indy atleast until he gets back in f1, there will be a team that will take him on because he has the talent to win a championship IMO, even if it may take a few months to get back to speed.
I would LOVE to see Kubica in an Indycar, but I don't see it happening...too bad, really...he'd have a big impact on attendance...
Sadly, from what I've read in Polish magazines, he seems to be focusing more on trying to develop the next generation of Polish drivers...
