I've heard that from a lot of people today, glad I could help.

Yeah, I thought of that, I am limited on the number of characters available on the bar, but perhaps we could work it out somehow,

    Awesome.

If there are issues between WIBC and 1070 I understand, but if not, it sure seems like a link on the 1070 site would be a good idea.

    Thank you...

Please keep the comments coming, is there anything else people want to see.

Would the expanded photo section be valuable?

Is there any chance of posting Jim Philippe's "Homage" narrative?
I've had so much fun listening to the website; I've even flipped over just to hear Jim Nabors sing...it makes the foulest work day better for a time! And yes, more pictures would be great!

It's a great idea, any particular year of the speech that people want to hear?

I wanted to let TF members know about the website I've been working on, which is finally ready to be seen.

    http://www.wibc.com/500history.aspx

This is our new online History of the Indianapolis 500 webpage. It's still a bit of a work in progress, but for now, it will have audio and photos from the greatest sporting event in the world.

If you use the scroll bar for "Best Of Talk Of Gasoline Alley" you will get the new online vault of the great Donald Davidson's answers on drivers, team owners, and more.

Eventually it will have around 10 years worth of answers in a permanent, online archive.

If you use the scroll bar for "Indianapolis 500 Memories" you will get highlights from the last 60 plus years, plus other special items.

If you use the scroll bar for "Indianapolis 500 Interviews" you will get comments from drivers, team owners, and 500 legends on a variety of topics.

This has been a bit of a labor of love for me, and I have hundreds of hours to go before I'd consider it "done" but for now enjoy.

Please feel free to leave comments here or send me a PM, because I'd like to know what you'd like to see on the site to make it better.
    Kewl!

    Thanks lpbf!
My first Indy 500 was 1973, haven't missed one since 1981. To date I have attended 35 Indy 500's, and probably 100 or so other IndyCar races (CART & IRL).

I'm going to wait on adding the Homage speech since the King beat me to it.

Just for kevin99 I added the classic 1967 Jochen Rindt interview though.

More to come, keep sending me the suggestions.

A terrific site you developed and very much appreciated. Do you have any audio of Freddie Agabashian.

    Thanks.

LOL, that was before the days of political correctness!

Are there any clips of the Purdue band playing "On the Banks of the Wabash"? One of my favorite race day moments that tends to get lost in the proceedings.

    Funny you should mention that.

We unearthed this REALLY unique stuff, Freddie hosting a show called Champion Spark Plug's Golden Memories.

They are FULL-LENGTH interview shows. I am going to post them in full length form.
