    Racer Magazine Email Survey Question...

Got an email this morning from Racer Magazine to do a survey to help them better target advertisers...

It was signed by Bill Sparks, who is listed as the publisher of the new and improved Racer...

However, the copyright notice at the bottom was for Haymarket Publishing...

Does anyone know if this is a legit request from the new owners or is it Haymarket using old contact info from when they owned the magazine...

    Thanks...

I'm not a past subscriber, I'm getting it from when I was a Downforce/INDYCAR Nation member. That's the email that received the survey and I took it.
"You can't arrest those guys, they're folk heroes"
    "They're criminals"
"Well most folk heroes started out as criminals"

It is legit, pretty sure Racer has been under that umbrella for a while now - Haymarket own Autosport, Motorsport News, F1 Racing, Autocar to name a few

Hello everyone, the RACER survey is legitimate and was created by our publisher Bill Sparks and our marketing team. Our subscriber list and e-mail database is still maintained for us on contract by Haymarket Media's team in New York. RACER is now back under the original ownership and management so please take a moment to respond to the questions. They will help us improve the magazine and hopefully attract more advertisers. -Paul Pfanner, Executive Publisher

I got an e-mail too. I've yet to take it but plan to do so.

I am loving the 'return to the old' at Racer!
My first Indy 500 was 1973, haven't missed one since 1981. To date I have attended 35 Indy 500's, and probably 100 or so other IndyCar races (CART & IRL).

RACER has done wonders with the new format - it's a fantastic magazine now (granted, I liked it before the re-vamp anyway). I was a little stunned at how much it cost me to renew, though...
