Besides his 10th year in Lights ... he ran into an Argentinian driver so I think your "Mercun" comment is unwarranted.

    People please, that was sarcasm!

Seemed to me like he was dirty driving like what seems to be the norm these days. Did very much enjoy the exchange between him and Saavedra on twatter later yesterday.

@sebsaavedra hey buddie. Never even saw you. And we all wonder why you came back from Indycars to lights...

    Gustavo Yacaman @ GustavoYacaman
@ sebsaavedra My King ... I never saw you. With your experience in Indycar should know that you put in a very risky position. Luck.

I actually watched some of the Lights race yesterday. I hadn't watched one lap of a Lights race all year. Just nothing compelling about the series anymore, for me. And yesterday's race did nothing to change my thoughts either. Star Mazda has some interest for me and has a few drivers worth paying attention to. Lights looks like a series that needs to be put out of its misery. Who is going to pay for these new cars??? They can barely put 12 cars out there now.

My question is how in the world did Squirrly Gus, not get some sort of penalty for his bonehead driving? That sort of hack driving would probably get you 10 stop-and-go penalties in the ICS. Is it because there are so few cars to begin with, that they can't afford to penalize anyone?

Yacamen is the worst kind of driver. #1, he's got a good car. So that can mask his true talent. #2, he actually thinks he's good. So, he tries to pull off moves that he doesn't have the talent to pull off. #3, he's a dangerous tool. So, he has no regard for anyone else on the track and drives like he has no fear of hurting himself or others.

    Well said
Ok tubs, let me break it down for you the way your stomach breaks down countless bacon cheeseburgers.

Yacaman has been a hack since he came to the states to race karts.

Todd... the only thing I'll say about the low Lights fields is the car is basically a vintage car! Perhaps new blood will help or rekindle interest in more teams to enter? The deFerran, Mygale, & Swift concepts look interesting... suprisingly the Swift the most conservative design this time (as opposed to their 2012 Indycar concepts...)

Agree with you on "Squirrly Gus"... great nickname! Didn't AJ Foyt once call Tom Sneva a squirrel?
